Andrew Gee is the Director & Principal Network Consulting Engineer for AAG Network Consulting Services. He is a professional in the networking & telecommunications industry with over sixteen years of extensive technical experience in both data & voice networking arena. Andrew has provided professional services to international clients worldwide located in places such as London, Singapore, Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea & the US.

Profile

Apart from his technical expertise, Andrew has been in Senior Technical Management where he successfully expanded a small local team of Consulting Engineers resulting in generated revenue in excess of $2M USD. He has managed up to 36 network consulting engineers & managers. Prior to starting his own consulting business, Andrew was with Cisco Systems Australia leading a high-calibre consulting team focused on emerging Enterprise Solutions including IP Telephony, Call Centre technologies & Content Networking. Andrew was also the leading pioneer for the establishment of Cisco's Network Supported Accounts (NSA) program in Asia Pacific. The NSA program is Cisco's Premium Service, offering proactive services such as Network Design, Software Recommendations, Performance Engineering & technical escalation support to major accounts. He was the first NSA Consultant for Asia Pacific & supported a number of major accounts including Westpac Banking Corporation, Qantas Airlines & Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Andrew was one of the first founding members of Cisco's Asia Pacific Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) located in Sydney, providing reactive "break/fix" support specialising in IP Routing, SNA & LAN switching technologies. In addition to providing technical expertise, provided professional service & achieved high customer satisfaction. He was the first Cisco Asia Pacific TAC Engineer to obtain CCIE (#1815). Prior to Cisco, he was a Technical Support Specialist for J.N.A. Networking Systems, providing network protocol analysis & Level 3 support for both Lan & Wan network products including Wellfleet/Retix bridges & routers, Bytex, Fibermux & Synoptic hubs. Apart from specialising just in network infrastructure, Andrew had specialised in DEC host systems including VAX and PDP/11 series. After graduating with Honors from the University of Technology Sydney, he designed several X.25 communication interface modules, and a X.25 monitoring tool for Telecom Australia.
