VS. THE OTHER GUYS

Evo... Patented belt design reinforced with stainless steel cables that are tested to 60,000 cycles. The Other Guys... Steel cables or chains that corrode after extended exposure to sun and rain.

Evo... Patented design, double bearing & steel belted strap. Totally concealed elbow joints, completely protecting any moving parts from the elements. Evo... Heavy-duty shoulder design, capable of supporting up to 13'6" projections on a 40mm x 40mm square support bar. Simple pitch adjustment with horizontal arm-leveling feature. Evo... Teflon-coated stainless steel bushings to ensure maximum reliability, minimum friction, and extreme durability.

The Other Guys... Exposed cable or chains, steel pin connection that can corrode and wear over time.

The Other Guys... Lighter weight extrusion or die cast, unable to sustain excessive torque of extended arms with wind loads.

Adapts to the crossed-arm kit

The EOS support system with a square bar is intended to alleviate the problems posed by large installations.

Front view of the arm support bracket. Since the EOS system is designed to cover such large areas, all the pieces composing the set have been made as small as possible to enhance the appearance of the installation.

A single set of EOS arms gives you 18 feet of width with a 12 foot projection. For longer extensions, the system is designed to incorporate as many sets of arms as needed until the desired width is achieved.

The EOS system is designed and manufactured by Corradi USA. It enables easy fitting of the awning mechanism, thus the entire awning system can be installed quickly and easily on a 40mm x 40mm square bar and it benefits from the arm adjustment system. The design of the EOS follows the same refined lines and special emphasis on concealing visible screws. Like all Corradi models, the EOS design can match well with any outdoor decor.

WHY PARÁ TEMPOTEST FABRIC?

The superiority of Tempotest® acrylic fiber fabric products is well-known. All Parà Tempotest® fabrics are made with 100% solution dyed "Outdoor" acrylic fiber. The fiber is already dyed in more than 100 different colors when it comes out of the spinneret. The organic dyes used for acrylics have greater light-fastness than the disperse dyes used for dying polyester. For fast delivery, Corradi stocks ALL Tempotest® fabrics as part of the Corradi fabric collection.

More wear, less fragility

Polyester absorbs UV rays at a far higher rate than acrylic. The higher the rate of absorption, the greater the reduction in strength and increase in fragility.

Protection from UV rays and phototypes

UV irradiation is a non-visible part of solar light which reaches the Earth. The UVA rays do not cause alarming effects on skin, they are responsible for tan. Instead the UVB is carcinogenic, causing erythema and burns. In order to avoid irreparable damage to skin, it is necessary to adopt intensive and preventive measures of protection. Recent scientific tests have proved that Tempotest® fabrics succeed in reducing, depending on color, from a minimum of 90% to a maximum of 100% of the UV rays. It is therefore pleasant and safe to enjoy summer remaining well protected under a Tempotest® awning. According to UV filtration our fabrics are divided in 3 bands marked by 3 sun protection factors, SPF 30, SPF 40, and SPF 80. There are 6 typologies of human skin. Type 1 has the lowest protection factor and Type 6 has the highest. The aim is to select the correct sun protection factor fabric depending on skin typology.

Note for end users

Although the greatest care has been taken with our production, fitting and finishing technology, fabrics are sometimes subject to phenomena which are mistakenly interpreted as product defects. To avoid complaints, Parà considers it appropriate to draw users' attention to the following characteristics of spun-dyed acrylic fabrics in certain cases: Undulations: these occur near the hems and seams and in the web of the fabric. The double fabric thickness generates tensions after the fabric is rolled up, and these cause so-called "honeycombing". Creases: when awning fabric is folded, the folds can develop surface effects (also known as spider's webs or marbling effects) which appear darker then back-lit and could be interpreted as streaks of dirt; this applies particularly to light colors. Microholes: the acrylic fabric is treated with fluorinated resins which not only give the fabric its well-known technical properties but also stiffens it. This special characteristic is absolutely essential for virtually all Tempotest® fabric applications. No compensation is possible for consumer complaints of this sort. These technical characteristics do not impair the quality of the awning fabrics.
