It is time to get digital! In a workshopstyle session, students will learn about the best features of digital cameras, as well as how to store and share pictures. The class will not focus on how to use a specific manufacturer's camera; however, you will learn what you need to know to understand your own camera. Mystery Shopping is a terrific way to earn extra money and have fun at the same time. Shoppers receive assignments from companies that do business evaluations. An assignment might be to evaluate a restaurant, retail store, bank, gas station, or theater. At the conclusion of the evaluation visit, the mystery shopper completes and submits a report. This class will present an overview of how mystery shopping works, what types of assessment forms are used, do's and don'ts of completing an assignment, how to get into the shopper's network, and how to avoid scams. Take this rare opportunity to watch the winemaking process from the inside of a local, working winery. The morning session will conclude with a tour of the winery followed by a light lunch. The afternoon will be an exploration and sensory evaluation of the wines made from the Rhone Valley grapes including white varietals, Viognier, Marsanne & Roussanne; and red varietals, Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignane and Mourvedre. The students will taste and evaluate wines that represent the best varietal characteristics and illustrate various styles. Office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Questions? Please call (805) 654-6459. Class refund will be issued if a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment. In the event that the student initiates a cancellation, a $10.00 cancellation fee will be assessed. The last day for a full refund is two working days prior to the first meeting of the class.

Registration Information

RegIsTRaTIon Is easy!

HOW TO REGISTER: Fill out a registration form, listing each course. One form per person. Please feel free to duplicate the form. If you are paying by check, make your check payable to "Ventura College Community Education." PARKING: Parking on campus is by permit only. You may purchase a day pass for $1.00 at either the Information Kiosk in front of the Administration Building or in the East Campus parking lot. Cars without permits or passes will be ticketed. No parking permits needed for Friday night or weekend classes. Parking at 71 Day Road (ICPD) is free. Please do not park next door in the CAPS parking lot. Parking in "Handicap" spaces must be with a valid handicap placard.

A registration confirmation will be mailed to you. If you register online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. If you have not received your confirmation before the beginning of your class, please call Ventura College Community Education, (805) 654-6459. Preregistered students will be notified in advance if a class is canceled by Ventura College Community Education. You may choose a full refund or have your fees transferred to another class. Check and cash refunds will be mailed to you. Please allow four to six weeks for check/cash refunds. Please allow two weeks for charge card refunds. If you are unable to attend a class for which you are registered, you must notify Ventura College Community Education at least two working days before the class begins, otherwise a refund will not be issued. Once proper notice has been received, your registration fee minus a $10.00 service charge will be refunded. No refund after class begins. See Medical Billing Training Program for exception.
