Robert T. Armistead, P.E.

President, Armistead Mechanical, Inc.

Bob Armistead is President of Armistead Mechanical, Inc., a mechanical contracting and engineering firm with offices in Waldwick, New Jersey and Newburgh, New York. He was Past President of the Mechanical Contracting Association of New Jersey and current Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of the Mechanical Contracting Association of America. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New Jersey and New York. He holds a New Jersey Master Plumber's License and various other mechanical contracting licenses throughout New Jersey and New York. Bob has over 40 years' experience in the plumbing, HVAC and process piping industry and in the design and management of mechanical construction for various industrial, hospital, pharmaceutical and commercial projects. Appointed to the Mechanical Contracting Association of America Board of Directors in 2003, Bob is active in the association on both the national and local levels. At the national level, he serves on the Career Development Committee and on the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation Partnership Enterprise Committee. He has also served on the MCAA Audit Committee. Recently, Bob was elected Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of the MCAA at its annual convention and has also been appointed as a national board member of the ACE Mentor Program. At the local level, he has served two years each as MCA of New Jersey President, Vice President, Treasurer and MCICNJ Treasurer. He served a total of 12 years as an MCANJ board member. He also served as chairman of the Education and Marketing Committees and as a member of the ACE/MCICNJ Mentoring Committee. Bob is very active in numerous trade organizations and is a trustee for UA Local 274 and UA Local 373 Pension, Welfare and Annuity Funds. He is a member of the MCANJ labor policy committee that negotiates many of the UA pipe trade agreements throughout the state of New Jersey. He also enjoys excellent relations with the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, Mr. Armistead is a member and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Construction Contractors Association of Newburgh, New York. The Armistead family has been in the mechanical construction and engineering business for four generations, and works with many of the prestigious Fortune 500 companies located throughout the tri-state region. Armistead Mechanical, Inc. has its own HVAC service company, AMI Services, Inc.
