Laureate Award

It is with distinct pleasure that the Louisiana and Mississippi Chapters present this year's Laureate Awards. Laureate Award winners are long-standing and loyal supporters of the College who have rendered distinguished service to their chapters and community and have upheld the high ideals and professional standards for which the College is known. The awards will be presented during the Awards Dinner on Friday evening.

Chapter Excellence Award Winner

We are pleased to announce that our Chapter is the recipient of a 2010 Chapter Excellence Award. The Chapter Excellence Award recognizes those chapters that excel in reaching the standards for managing a chapter, such as communicating to members, instituting Medical Students' and Associates' activities, and advancing and recruiting members. A Chapter Excellence certificate will be awarded at the meeting.

From the West: Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY), 15 miles Kenner/Metairie, 7 miles Baton Rouge, 55 miles Take I-10 East to Downtown Superdome, Poydras Exit (234 B). Continue on Poydras Street for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on S. Peters and go 1 block down to Gravier Street. Turn left on Gravier. Entrance is located at Gravier/S. Peters. From the East: Lakefront Airport, 8 miles New Orleans East/Slidell, 30 miles Mississippi, 60 miles Take I-10 West to Downtown (do not take 610). Take Canal Street Exit (235 B). Turn right at the traffic light onto Canal Street and drive approximately 1 mile. Turn right on Tchoupitoulas and go 1 block down to Gravier Street. Turn left on Gravier. Hotel is located on the right.
