Day Two--FFL Airway Course (pre-registration required/no extra fee)

Using an animal model, this lecture will consist of a hands on review of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, as well as definitive airway management techniques. This course is limited to 30 students per session; the same course will be repeated in session 2.

ATLS Recertification (November 18th, 1:15p-6:15p)

Day One--Ultrasound in Trauma (pre-registration required/no

extra fee)

This lecture will cover the potential uses of trauma ultrasound in both field and hospital settings. The participant will be introduced to the FAST and Extended FAST exams, including evaluation for hemo/pneumothorax, as well as vascular access, fracture evaluation, and the uses of ocular ultrasound in trauma. Following the didactic section, there will be a hands-on session in which the participant will practice FAST, vascular access, and additional applications.

This conference is designed primarily for surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, ER, ICU, and trauma nurses, and pre-hospital personnel.
