August 2011 Manager, Regional Operations Centre - Calgary Aeroguard Group is pleased to have been selected by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority to provide security screening at all 13 airports in the Prairies region. We started in Manitoba in the security screening business over twenty five years ago and look forward to broadening our operations in the Prairies. Aeroguard Group has been providing security services at Canadian airports for more than 25 years. At present, we have approximately 2,000 employees at 23 airports across Canada from Ottawa to Vancouver. In 2010 we were a proud partner in Contemporary Security Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games where we screened over three million visitors in Whistler and Vancouver at 29 venues. Working towards the goal to be the leader in aviation security, Aeroguard prides itself on providing exceptional customer service to the traveling public while continuously pursuing excellence in safety, quality and performance. The Opportunity Aeroguard is seeking a Manager, Regional Operations Centre (ROC) in Calgary who will centralize all issue tracking and continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will serve as the conduit for all communications, ensuring that sites receive consistent and timely information, and providing CATSA with a single point of contact when issuing regulatory changes. While reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, the ROC Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

Develops workflow and processes for integrated shared services model. Ongoing review of internal operational processes. Oversees and documents compliance with CATSA's and Aeroguard's standard operating procedures. Ensures the directives and standard operating procedures are translated into operations and implemented through: o Tracking and managing incidents using ReadyTrack. o Employee management. o Reporting. o Communicating with Site Operations Manager about scheduling, shift bid cycles, and adjustments. Develops and administers daily calls. Manages incidents as reported through the ReadyTrack issue-tracking system and implements the issue escalation process. Liaises with stakeholders to obtain flight schedules and passenger volume data.

Liaises with the Manager, Continuous Improvement to identify improvement opportunities. Provides support to the Operations Communications Specialist. Supports and develops change management in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

Work Experience and Education:

Minimum 5 years of managerial experience. Post secondary degree majoring in subjects related to Human Resources/Labour Relations an asset. Proficiency with ReadyTrack an asset. Familiarity with online information management tools. Advanced computer skills in all Microsoft Office Suite applications. Demonstrated success in achieving bottom-line goals. Proven track record of identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects. Experience in driving change in a continuous improvement environment. Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation), and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others. Proven track record of building relationships with management and employees.
