EPA Issues Phosphine Label Revision Guidelines

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued phosphine label revisions to help protect those who apply it or work near areas being fumigated from possible overexposure to the chemical. Several major label changes were sanctioned by the Agency. There are several steps you should take to comply with label requirements in your state, according to the EPA. These include: · Contact your state to understand its requirements. · Review the new label. · Develop a fumigation management plan (FMP). · Develop receiver notification programs. · Develop personnel certification and training programs. · Review your current monitoring programs.
