Pre Conference Seminar Thursday, September 8 1 pm to 5pm Sheraton Alaska Hotel & Spa

ICD10 & Why They Audit A Two Part Series

Are you ready for ICD-10? If you aren't you might want to start getting a game plan together and time line. If you do any M/S related conditions you need to be aware that it is the largest selection for ICD-10 with at least 3 codes per site - right body side, left body side and unspecified side. This session will get you started in the right direction by going over some of the basic guidelines for reporting ICD-10 and how they are either the same or different from ICD-9" 'Auditing is not just for payers/carriers anymore. If you are not doing your own internal audits on a regular basis you could be setting your group up for some bumpy roads. You need to be well aware of what is going on in your records, from dictated documentation to medical necessity and don't forget the mandate that they all have to be signed. This session will help you know where to audit and what payers/carriers are looking for."
