Things to LEAVE at Home!!!

Candles (burned or unburned), candle warmers, incense (burned or unburned), and any other items with an open flame are prohibited. Candles kept for decorative purposes must have the wick completely removed. Halogen lamps and multi-bulb floor lamps, exceeding 3 bulbs are strictly forbidden!!! Especially plastic-covered multi-bulb floor lamps!!!

What Should I Bring to College?

Space Heaters are also strictly forbidden! No toaster ovens, toasters, open burners, sandwich makers, George Foreman Grills, electric frying pans, or any other items with an exposed heating element! Albright Woods residents are permitted to have a toaster (not a toaster oven!). Charcoal grills and propane tank grills are strictly forbidden! Exception: A. Woods residents are permitted to have charcoal grills, not propane grills! No refrigerators or microwaves. The college provides both to you, with the exception of Albright Woods Apartments. Woods residents are allowed to bring a microwave if they choose. Absolutely NO pets!!! No animals, with the exception of fish and turtles in properly maintained aquariums of 10 gallons or less, will be allowed in the residence halls.

Free Laundry Facilities in every Residence Hall Location ­ no coins needed! All residence hall rooms are provided with air conditioning ­ students are not permitted to bring their own A/C units! All residence hall rooms are provided with microfridges ­ students are not permitted to bring their own microfridge units! Exception: A. Woods apartments include a full-size refrigerator and students are permitted to bring their own microwaves. All residence halls will be wireless beginning Fall 2010. Students will have wireless access from their rooms and all common areas. Students no longer need to bring their own Ethernet cable.
