Nunsense begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of "Grease." Here we meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. The show features a tap and ballet dancing nun, an audience quiz and comic surprises. I have been in musicals all 4 years of my high school career. Each musical has moments that I will remember forever. I enjoyed every musical that I was involved with. I would like thank my family, the directors and the cast. Good luck to the underclassmen in the future musicals. I will be attending UW-Milwaukee for a major in psychology.

Bethany Zeitler

This is my fourth musical. I have been in The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Once Upon a Mattress and now Nunsense. The last two were my favorites, though they were all fun. I really enjoy doing the musicals, even when I'm not on stage it's still fun. For me, some of the best moments are when things don't go according to plan, especially with the cast this year. After I graduate I'll be attending UW-Madison to get a degree in chemical engineering and I hope to keep acting, even if just as a hobby. You've all been a lovely audience! Thank you!

Leah Farley

In fall, I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I will be majoring in prechiropractic and I will be participating in cross country. I would like to thank my parents for being supportive and always giving me rides to and from practice. My favorite part of the show this year is having a puppet in one of my songs. I'm going to miss musical next year because it has been a lot of fun.

My plans after high school are to study music at either I.P.R. or McNally Smith. First of all I would like to thank my mom for supporting me, everyone who helped with the show and set, and the cast members. Leah and Bethany are always excellent performers and they really motivate me because they are so good. Courtney Schmidt helped keep me on track at every practice. The past 2 years have been a great experience and I got to meet some really talented people. This year's show really means a lot to me since it's my last year. I'm sad I didn't get a bigger part, but it's better than only being able to say "yes". I know you all will enjoy the show as much as we enjoy performing it for you.

I will be attending UW-Stevens Point in the fall for a degree in Elementary Education. For the past three years I have always been on the stage but my senior year I opted for a change and joined the pit band playing piano. It was very different between the pit and the stage but I enjoyed both of them. The weekends were long and exhausting being cramped in a tiny space for countless hours. So, I have to thank my family and friends for dealing with me when I became crabby. There is a lot of hard work and time put into the making of every production and a wide range of emotions is experienced by everyone. Thanks to everyone who helps out and makes these productions possible every year. I will miss it all greatly!

Caitlin Blahnik

I was born to Scott and Penny Blahnik on November 10, 1990. I have been involved in National Honor Society, Math Team, One Act., Student Council, Pep Band, Ski Club, Cross Country, along with other clubs and groups. I plan to attend UWWhitewater with a major in biology and/or geology with a possible minor in music. I would like to thank the band department for allowing me the opportunity to be involved in the pit the past 4 years. Texting does prevent insanity!

Thank you!

Brenda Zeitler for taking care of all the costumes. Wayne Detjen and Jeff Dier for the set design and construction. Wayne Detjen, Corie Farley, Ellie Cannon and Evelyn Salzsieder for painting and other details of set design. Everyone who donated props. The Fine Arts Boosters for the refreshments and ticket collection. Staff, custodians, administration and school board for their help and support. The musical leadership team for their extra work and time. All students involved for their hard work and dedication.

Sara Haas

This is my second year doing make up for the musical and I love it. Even though I'm not in the show, I get to be with the cast and get to know everyone. Next year I plan on taking a year of agriculture at NWTC and will probably go for early childhood development the following years. I would like to thank everyone in the musical for making my last year exciting and laughing with me instead of being upset with me when I kind of goofed up on their make up. This musical is awesome and I hope everyone laughs as much as I did during the rehearsals.
