Mounting into test rig Window test rig (,,Z-Wand"): Test rig without flanking transmission according to DIN EN ISO 140-1. The test opening is placed in an seperate concrete frame element with a 5 cm separation fugue, which is sealed in the test opening.

Mounting of the test specimen By ift Rosenheim. Mounting position Test specimen mounted in the reveal of the test rig in ratio of 1/3 to 2/3 and fixed with glazing beads (timber, 25 mm × 25 mm) on both sides. The connection joints (reveal and glazing beads) are fully filled with plastic sealant type Perennator 2001 S grey.

Test results

The values of the measured airborne sound reduction index of the tested insulating glass unit were plotted and tabled in the enclosed data sheet related to frequency. For the frequency range of 100 Hz to 3150 Hz the weighted sound reduction index Rw and the spectrum adaptation terms C and Ctr are calculated according to DIN EN ISO 717-1 with the following results:
