A.S.A. UMPIRE MEDALS PROGRAM

Umpires that meet the following requirements can be nominated for that level of the A.S.A. Umpire Medals Program, to be enshrined in the National ASA Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A.

EXPERIENCE

BLUE LEVEL: 1. Must have been an active A.S.A. registered umpire for at least three (3) years and is currently an active registered umpire. 2. Must be in good standing with his local umpire association and his local association commissioner. BRONZE 1. 2. a. b. 3. LEVEL: Must have been an active A.S.A. registered umpire for at least five (5) years. Applicant must complete either "a" or "b" below. Must have umpired, or served as an Umpire-In-Chief, assistant UIC, or umpire coordinator in at least one (1) state/metro championship or higher. Or umpired at the local level for seven (7) years. Must be in good standing with his local umpire association and his local association commissioner.

SILVER LEVEL: 1. Must have been an active A.S.A. registered umpire for at least seven (7) years 2. Applicant must complete either "a" or "b" below. a. Must have umpired, or served as an Umpire-In-Chief, assistant UIC, or umpire coordinator in at least three (3) national championships. b. Or umpired at the local level for fifteen (15) years. c. National Umpire School can be used in place of one (1) National Championship. 3. Must be in good standing with his local umpire association and his local association commissioner. GOLD LEVEL: 1. Must have been an active A.S.A. registered umpire for at least seven (7) years. 2. Applicant must complete either "a" or "b" below. a. Must have umpired in at least three (3) national championships, two (2) of which must have been in the tournaments listed below. The evaluations in these two (2) must be of the highest rating. Fast Pitch: Men's or Women's Major, Men's or Women's "A", Men's Master 40-Over or Girls 18-UGold. Slow Pitch: Men's Super; Men's, Women's or Men's Industrial Major or "A"; Men's Major 16"SP, or Armed Forces Championship. Modified Pitch: Men's or Women's Major and Men's "A". b. Or umpired at the local level for twenty (20) years. 3. National Umpire School can be used in place of one (1) National Championship. 4. Must be in good standing with his local umpire association and his local association commissioner.

APPLICATION FORM

1. Application forms may be obtained from your State/Metro UIC, your N.U.S. member in your region or from: Amateur Softball Association 2801 N.E. 50th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73111-7203 Only current application forms will be accepted. The applicant must sign the application form. Applications which do not an application fee, or are not signed will be returned. There is no deadline. Applications are accepted whenever an umpire becomes eligible for the level applied for.

APPLICATION FEE

A $20 non-refundable fee must accompany the application. Make the check payable to the Amateur Softball Association. Upon acceptance, the umpire will receive a "medals" certificate, pin, and cap for the level applied.

AWARDS

Awards such as shirts, jackets, sweater, trophies, plaques, and watches will be available and can be ordered separately from the brochure returned with the applicants certificate and acknowledged acceptance.
