The Country's Finest Jewelry Artists Gather in Atlanta to Show their Work

ATLANTA ­ (July 31, 2012) ­the Atlanta Contemporary Jewelry show announces the 2012 dates for this much anticipated specialty showing of fine contemporary artist made jewelry. On nd rd November 2 and 3 over 25 world renown jewelry artists converge in Atlanta for this one-of-akind exhibition and sale. Each artist brings their distinctive, award winning work to this premier marketplace. Jewelry lovers and collectors are invited to come and celebrate the unique vision and exquisite wearability of this artist made, handcrafted jewelry. Unique to the Southeast, no other event brings so many superb jewelry artists together in one place at one time. Curators and show organizers Debra Lynn Gold and Leigh Griffin say, "It is terrifically exciting to discover the most outstanding jewelry artists from across the country and invite them to come. We are so excited about this years show since we have many new artists attending. Its quite an honor to have both new and returning artists premiering collections of their work specially designed for the ACJS." The pieces range from fun and fanciful to museum quality collectible. The artists themselves hail from sixteen states, from Massachusetts to Colorado. Each artist enjoys a national if not international reputation. The public is invited to come, see and purchase the work, and, of course, meet the artists. A portion of proceeds from the show will benefit CERF+, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund, a national service organization that provides emergency relief assistance to craft artists who have suffered natural disasters and other catastrophes that have impacted their livelihoods. The show takes place Friday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Defoor Centre in Midtown Atlanta. Friday evening admission includes the much anticipated Meet the Artists wine reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., sponsored by Topaz Gallery, Atlantas own art jewelry gallery. Tickets are available at the door for $7. The Defoor Centre is located at 1710 Defoor Ave. NW Atlanta, 30318. Parking is free.
