R31 Front Brake Upgrade

This is the only budget brake upgrade available for your Bluebird. It is also very easy, and provides you with brakes that will pull you up a little better, and be much less susceptible to fade than the stock brakes. The discs and callipers are a straight swap for your original Bluebird ones. The discs are the exact same 250mm hub type setup, but are vented instead of solid. The callipers are finned alloy, and larger than the stock items.

Parts Required R31 Skyline or Pintara front discs and callipers, you also need the R31 hoses. Brake fluid. Quality Pads.

Procedure Remove the brake backing plates. Unbolt your Bluey callipers, and hoses from the metal lines. Remove the callipers from the disc. Unbolt the hub, and pull off the disc and hub assembly. To install the R31 setup, reverse the above procedure, using the R31 discs and callipers. Make sure you fit some decent pads to save doing it later. Note: The backing plates will not fit back on without some modification. MAKE SURE YOU BLEED THE LINES PROPERLY
