SAFETY NOTICE

WARNING: Only competent service personnel may carry out work involving the testing or repair of this equipment. This receiver must operate under AC 100-240 volts, 50/60Hz. Never connect to a DC supply of any other voltage or frequency. Potential high voltages are present when this receiver is operating. Operation of the receiver outside the cabinet or with the back cover removed involves a shock hazard from the receiver. Servicing should not be attempted by anyone who is not thoroughly familiar with the precautions necessary when working on high voltage equipment. Keep wires away from high voltage or high temperature component. When replacing a high wattage resistor (oxide metal film resistor) in circuit board, keep the resistor body 10mm away from the circuit board. Many electrical and mechanical parts in this equipment have special safety-related characteristics. Replacement parts which have such features are identified by designated symbol on the parts list. Before replacing any of these components, read the parts list carefully. If the fuse is blown, replace it with the fuse specified in the Parts List.

SPECIFICATIONS

1. General Description

·

The KTL201MD is a Multi-Layer Display (MLDTM) constructed utilizing PureDepthTM MLD technology for displaying multiple images on two planes font and rear. Native screen resolution is 1680 x 1050. Display depth between front and rear images is 8mm. Data is connected via a single VGA cable, which is daisy-chain connected to two Scaler boards.

The KTL201MD incorporates integration options for two types of touch screen sensors and controllers ­ 3M and DigiTech Systems with a USB interface. This specification does not cover details of the touch systems Each display plane (front and rear) has independent On-Screen-Display (OSD) control of standard display functions. The front OSD control incorporates brightness control of the whole module. The Rear Scaler Board1 is configured to suppress confusion at boot-up, where typically both layers display The same content (clone mode) instead when boot up resolutions are detected the rear display is set to display no content (clear mode).

Factory Mode MLD(V2.1)

1. Enter to MLD factory Mode. Monitor's "MENU" + "UP" Key is press at once. After Monitor is display like right picture. 2. Explain Of Setting Item. "1. 16Gray Adjust" : Implement Auto Calibration on "the16 Gray Input screen". "2. Eeprom Initialize" : Set up "User Data & System Setting data" using default figure. "3. Sharpness Set" : Set up basic Sharpness level. "4. Aging Set" : Make "Scaler Factory Mode Pattern" displayed. "5. Back Light Set": Set up MLD Back Light Default level. Basic brightness of backlight under the min. temperature of above #12. "6. SOGThr Set" : Set up Detention level of SOG Signal. "7. V-Start" : Set up a Vertical Offset level on the screen. "8. Problem

"NO SYNC" message "UNSUPPORTED" message LED doesn't work / No image

Possible solution

Check if the signal cable (15Pin D-sub) is properly connected to the computer. This message may appear when the resolution and frequency of the video card in the computer are out the range of the Monitor. Select the proper resolution and frequency for the Monitor Check if the display is switched on or the power cable is properly connected.
