1949 1,000cc Vincent HRD Rapide C Reg. No. KNB 969 Frame No. RC4080 Engine No. F10AB/1/2180 Confirmed by the Vincent Owners Club as having been despatched from the works on 21st May 1949 to Vincent dealer Kings of Manchester, KNB 969, according to the continuation buff log book supplied, was still in Lancashire between 1957 and 1971. It is known from old V5 documents and knowledge of previous owners that East Anglia has been its home for at least the last 20 years and currently forms part of a private collection. Obviously the passing years have seen some practical changes to the standard specification such as the series D headlamp, Dunlop alloy rims, Amal R928 carburettors, new chrome silencer (original supplied) and solid state regulator. The vendor reports that the clutch has recently been refurbished and that this is a well set up machine with "everything functioning beautifully". The recorded mileage is 10,848 and the Rapide has had no use at all during 2009 mainly due to the effects of Anno Domini on the owner whilst previously it was only used locally. The vendor also states that high lift cams are rumoured to be fitted though he cannot confirm this. Correct machines with known history are the Vincent purchasers goal and the "HRD" logo to the tank, valve caps and embossed into the crank case adds a certain historical kudos to the whole plot. A fine looking machine with a good history file, V5C documentation, MOT and (duty free) road tax valid until June 2010. Estimate £23,000 - £26,000

1974 850cc Norton Commando Mk2 Interstate Reg. No. 5672 RH (transferable) Frame No. 308530 Engine No. 308530 The property of a Gentleman, this tidy Commando has remained in his custody since 1989 having first been acquired whilst serving as a Captain for Her Majesty in Scotland. Written notes in the comprehensive history file record the original owner purchased 5672 RH in Fife and subsequently purchased again in Dundee 1977 with 13,000 miles recorded until coming to the current owner with just 17,000 miles. The current reading of 18,623 miles is entirely genuine and backed up by a run of old MOT certificates dating to 1978. Greatly enhanced by its transferable registration number this very genuine machine wears the drum rear brake, "pea-shooter" silencers and the twin carburettors. A legendary model that scooped MCN Machine Of The Year with great regularity throughout the 1970's and was a coveted model by many an aspirant biker of the era. Now Suffolk based, the Norton sees minimal use of late serving as a yearly refresher machine prior to a biking holiday in the US. To be supplied with a new MOT for the sale and supplied with current V5C, workshop manual, parts list and history file. Estimate: £3,500 - £4,500

1966 650cc Triumph 6T Thunderbird Reg. No. KRC 410D Frame No. DU33477 Engine No. 6T DU33477 In the current ownership for approximately 5 years during which time a healthy 8,000 miles has been covered by the mature enthusiast owner. This nice clean example wears a slightly earlier tank style and sports a new exhaust system along with a seat cover and Boyer Bransden electronic ignition. Standing on Dunlop chrome rims recent work carried out includes new swinging arm bearings, front wheel bearings, new chain, stainless steel nuts and bolts only where required and a service to the chronometric speedo'. Maintained and serviced to a rigorous schedule by the owner, just 21,948 miles are recorded, the vendor states that the previous owner was in possession for 10 years with minimal mileage covered during that ti`me. With both the (duty free) tax and MOT valid until May 2010, current V5C document, the black and silver Thunderbird is ready to enjoy straight away. A large history file with old tax discs dating back to 1973 accompany this very nice example of the 6T. Estimate £3,000 - £4,000

1985 1000cc Honda VF1000R Reg. No. B749 WNG Frame No. JH2SC1608FM000219 Engine No. SC16E2100840 The VF1000R liquid cooled V4 was Honda's flagship machine and was certainly built to standards not previously seen in the industry. This example was first registered in the USA and subsequently imported to the UK in 1994. The current custodian has been in possession since that date and has, in the ensuing 15 years, only added around 6,000 dry miles to the indicated 10,923. Stated to be absolutely original, this VF1000R undoubtedly fills the role of a true Modern Classic and as such deserves a caring new owner. Supplied with V5C documentation, MOT valid until September 2009 and SORN document along with various old MOT's verifying the mileage. In patriotic colours this is one for the connoisseur. 1969 650cc Triumph T120 Bonnev ille Reg. No. WUL 240G Frame No. TBA Engine No. T120 DU522842 Bonneville, such is the legendary status of this machine that even your mum has heard of the name. The TT successes of the 60's and the first 100mph lap from a standing start by a production machine cemented the name in the public mind. This London registered example is finished in Maroon over Silver and has seen very little use in the current ownership, of unit construction and sporting the signature twin carb's fitted with bellmouths, the vendor reports that this is a very presentable example that runs well with the previous owner being an official within the Triumph Owners Club. Fitted with electronic ignition and supplied with V5 documentation along with 12 months MOT and (duty free) road tax. Estimate £3,800 - £4,800

c.1955 98cc Moto-Guzzi Zigolo Reg. No. 192 LEV Frame No. TBA Engine No. TBA This one owner from new, Chelmsford registered machine was recently re-discovered in the loft of a barn. The vendor states that it was bought for his father's 18th birthday and was used by him whilst a youngster and latterly by the rest of the family around the farm until disappearing into the loft. Sadly no paperwork has survived the passage of the last 54 years but the bike appears to be complete and the original registration plate is intact which may prove useful in reclaiming the number from the DVLA. A superb and unusual restoration project, which judging from the remnants of chrome on the tank, is the "Supreme" model. Estimate £400 - £800

1146

1965 200cc Triumph Tiger Cub Reg. No. EFU 43C Frame No. 58453 Engine No. T20 819 The red and silver Lincoln registered Cub has preserved all of its original tin ware in sound condition and whilst in the current ownership has only been used up and down the road outside. With just 12,287 recorded miles the vendor reports that he has fitted new clutch plates but not used it since consequently the primary chaincase will require some oil. An ideal machine for an introduction to British classics that would benefit from some finishing touches. Expected to be taxed and MOT'd for the sale and supplied with V5 documentation. The past 6 years have seen SLK 909F form part of two more private collections and has not completed a single road mile in that time. 2000 1200cc Triumph Trophy Reg. No. X398 KOX Frame No. SMTTC345CWY103563 Engine No. 103870 A fully loaded machine that has been barely used, the vendor states that the recorded mileage of just under 2,900 is indeed genuine. Acknowledged as a very fine touring machine with the ability to provide a sporty ride through the twisty bits, the 135mph Trophy is an ideal mount for a transcontinental holiday. Finished in silver and supplied with 12 months MOT and suitable V5 documentation, this is a real "ride it away" prospect on what is very nearly an unused machine. Estimate £2,500 - £3,000

1957 350cc Triumph Tw enty One Reg, No. 675 KTW Frame No. H1167 Engine No. 21/H1447 In the current ownership for the last eight years, this Chelmsford registered machine is fitted with high level Siamese pipes, K&N style air filter and alloy mudguards. Whilst the engine and frame numbers do not match they are of the same year and it may be that this is a period change due to a customers problem.
