PURPOSE To provide directions for the wearing of State Emergency Service (SES) Rank Insignia.

2.

RATIONALE SES members are required to wear a uniform and the Rank Insignia represents approved positions within the organisation.

3.

APPLICATION Applies to all SES members.

OPERATIONS DOCTRINE INFORMATION This SES Operations Doctrine replaces information contained in former Administrative Instruction Number 16. · · · · 4.1 Rank Insignia for the SES are approved by the Executive Director, Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ). SES members are to wear Rank Insignia for positions they are appointed to. This approved Rank Insignia must be worn at all times on overalls and dress uniform. SES members are not to wear unauthorised Rank Insignia. INSIGNIA DESCRIPTION

The current approved Rank Insignia for the SES are described as follows: 4.1.1 LOCAL CONTROLLER

Navy blue epaulette with the acronym "SES" on the outer edge, one orange band and two orange circular "pips". 4.1.2 DEPUTY LOCAL CONTROLLER
