The complete catalogue

We are pleased to announce that the eagerly anticipated Component Seal product brochure has now been launched on our website www.componentseals.com An essential and important specification document/tool for our customers, the new brochure contains all recently developed products including seals developed for compressors, the W07DM (Chemienorm seal), and new T01F seal arrangements for Fristam® pumps - to name just a few! Based on customer requirements, we have extended a host of existing seal types/ranges and are now able to offer these in additional sizes and materials. Making life easier for customers to specify and select the appropriate AESSEAL® for a given application (against competitor's seals), we have updated (and extended) the competitor seal crossover chart. Listening and responding to customer feedback, the new brochure has also been re-modelled to make it even easier to navigate, locate and select each seal. This is complemented by a comprehensive index enabling the user to locate the seal they require straight away. Although the brochure has been launched in English, translations will shortly be available (early January) in German, French, Italian, and Spanish. Printed copies of the brochure will also follow shortly. The brochure is supported by our comprehensive network or AESSEAL® subsidiaries and Distributor network located around the world. If for whatever reason, additional information is required, try our dedicated website or contact your local AESSEAL® representative who will be pleased to assist wherever possible. Not just the complete catalogue; we provide the complete service - globally.

Food for thought: Fristam® seal alternatives

We are pleased to announce that AESSEAL® has expanded the range of seals to suit Fristam® pumps. This now includes the W0FB & W0FBC (to suit Fristam® Lobe Pumps). The W0FBC is a seal designed to suit the Fristam® FLF55 and FLFN55 pump types. This 21mm seal is available with face combinations of Carbon against Stainless Steel, or alternatively Tungsten Carbide against Tungsten Carbide both with EPR elastomers. The W0FB is a single seal face kit which includes replacement wear parts. The 21mm W0FB is also designed to suit the Fristam® FLF55 and FLFN55 pump types, and is available with the same material combinations as the W0FBC. We also offer a 38mm W0FB seal kit to suit the FLF100 and FLFN100 pump types (available face combinations are Carbon against Stainless Steel, and Tungsten Carbide against Tungsten Carbide, with EPR elastomers). A 31mm seal to suit the FKFNV40, FLF75 and FLFN75 is also available with the same face and elastomer materials. Commonly found in the food sector, these seals complement the already vast T01F seal range designed to suit Fristam® pumps: now one of our best selling product lines! Our strategy to develope this specific offering, has meant that we are now able to offer AESSEAL® alternatives for the vast majority of Fristam® enquiries we receive! If you have not already tried AESSEAL®, try us and experience exceptional customer service!

Something quite Special!

Complementing the Special Product brochure, AESSEAL® has released the comprehensive Special Products price list, featuring all of our complementary Special Products. Circulated at the beginning of January, the updated SP2-1 price list features colour photographs and descriptions of each product, as well as its distnguishing product code. The new price list will enable customers to better identify the style/type of product required. All Special Products indicated in the price list are designed and manufactured to AESSEAL's exacting standards, with many products being produced by own factory. The price list also features several new products. A sample is detailed below: AESTEX - Formerly known as Flange Seal, this expanded 100% PTFE joint sealant (with self adhesive backing) is available in sizes ranging from 3mm to 40mm on a number of different coil lengths (previously only offered in sizes up to 25mm). AESTEX is a non-ageing joint sealant suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -240°C to +270°C, and in applications with a pH value of 0-14. When compared with some alternatives, AESTEX offers excellent sealing results with lower cross section, 10% better creep relaxation, a higher expansion rate resulting in less coldflow and reduced setting under heat and pressure. Main applications for AESTEX include air channels, pumps, agitators, turbines, drive housings, vessels, air coolers, reactors, steel constructions, tanks, piping systems, and electrolytic units. Packing Extractors AESSEAL® has a new and more robust design for our packing extractor. Each extractor has a machined heavy drilling tip (full core thread), and a flexible non-torsion shaft. The result is the perfect tool for spot drilling and extracting old and hardened packings (particularly in blocked or difficult locations). Available in 4 different sizes, we offer extractors suitable for removing packing sizes ranging from 1/8" to 1". Style 285TP PAPERSTAR Another new addition to the AESSEAL® gland packing portfolio, and part of the AESSTAR range, style 285TP PAPERSTAR is meta-aramid fibre with a PTFE blocking agent and a special run-in lubricant. Suitable for use in the paper and pulp industry, sugar plants and waste water treatment, Style 285TP offers a clean packing solution, often required in applications where contamination must be avoided. Style 745TP FOODSTAR Also part of the AESSTAR range, FDA compliant style 745TP FOODSTAR is used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, pulp and paper and food sectors. This white coloured packing is suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -100°C to +280°C, and in applications with a pH value of 1-14. Style 795TP UNISTAR Braided from 100% GORE PTFE-Graphite incorporated fibre with run-in lubricant, Style 795TP UNISTAR is used in pumps, agitators, refiners, kneading devices and turbines. A characteristic of this packing is its excellent heat conductivity and universal chemical resistance, combined with the fact that it provides protection against shaft wear and tear. Suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -100°C to +280°C, and in applications with pH value of 0-14, this product is also easy to cut and handle, resistant to ageing and simple to dismantle. This is merely a brief summary of just some of the new/updated products available, but if you are interested in receiving more in depth and comprehensive information, why not contact your local AESSEAL® representative and request the brochure (ref: L-EU-PACKING-07) and a copy of the price list. Your requirements sealed!
