Insl-TronTM MCU Aliphatic Finish is a single component urethane designed for maximum color and gloss retention. In addition, it performs similarly to 2 pack urethanes in terms of chemical and abrasion resistance, without the application limitations shown with 2 packs. This product may be applied to temperatures below freezing, provided there is no ice present on the substrate and in ambient humidities up to 99%. This product is not designed as a DTM product (Use proper primer as outlined on page 3). This product is compatible with Insl-TronTM MCU Accelerator (See Accelerator Data Sheet for specifics). Properly Prepared Insl-TronTM MCU Aliphatic Finish may be used on primed steel, non-ferrous metals, and Primed plastics, existing coatings and concrete, including floors. Use this product anywhere Substrates that maximum color and gloss retention or abrasion and chemical resistance is required. The performance of this product is directly dependent upon the degree of surface preparation employed. All dirt, oils and accumulated salts must be removed prior to employing specific surface preparation methods. Pressure washing with and oil and grease emulsifier (min. 2500 psi) will best accomplish this task. For ferrous metal and concrete, see primer data sheets and primer section of this document (page 3) for specific substrate preparation methods as this product should not be applied directly to these substrates. Non-ferrous metals, plastics, fiberglass, and existing coatings should be solvent cleaned (SSPC-SP1), and abraded. Then apply a test patch area to check adhesion and compatibility.



Mix the product thoroughly before application. The use of a drill mixer at low speed will best accomplish this task. Do not use agitated spray equipment. Apply when temperatures are between 10 and 100°F, and with 0 humidities up to 99%. Do not apply to wet surfaces or ice. Do not paint if surface temperature is within 5 F of the dew point. This product is formulated to be applied without thinning. Do not thin if this would result in the product exceeding any VOC regulations in effect where it is being applied. If thinning is necessary, thin with InslTronTM MCU Thinner ONLY. SEE THINNING INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE THREE. Airless Spray (Preferred Method): Tip range between 11 and 15 thousandths. Total fluid output pressure at tip should not be less than 2400 psi. Air Spray (Pressure Pot): DeVilbis MBC or JGA gun, with 704 or 765 air cap and Fluid Tip E. NOTE: Do not allow material to remain in hoses, gun or spray equipment. Thoroughly flush all equipment with recommended thinner. Brush: Natural Bristle only. Roller: Industrial Cover with Phenolic core. Actual spread rate will vary based upon numerous factors including texture of the substrate, application method, waste, surface porosity and thinning. The Theoretical Spread Rate listed on this document has not taken into account these factors and is only based upon the volume solids of this product and the recommended wet film thickness when applied to a smooth substrate. 12 months at 77°F in original unopened container. Prolonged storage at higher temperatures can shorten the shelf life. Store in dry, shaded area, away from heat and ignition sources. Protect from frost.

May be harmful if absorbed through skin. NOTICE: Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational over-exposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling contents may be harmful or fatal. INDIVIDUALS WITH LUNG OR BREATHING PROBLEMS OR PRIOR REACTION TO ISOCYANATES MUST NOT BE EXPOSED TO VAPOR OR SPRAY MIST. Do not breathe vapor or spray mist. Wear an appropriate, properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) during application unless air monitoring demonstrates vapor / spray mists are below applicable limits. An airline respirator (NIOSH approved) is recommended. Follow respirator manufacturer's directions for respirator use. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Vapors may cause flash fire. Do not smoke. Extinguish all flames and pilot lights, and turn off stoves, heaters, electric motors, and other sources of ignition during use and until all vapors are gone. Prevent build-up of vapors by opening all windows and doors to achieve cross-ventilation. Use Only With Adequate Ventilation. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN FIRST AID: If affected by inhalation of vapor or spray mist, remove to fresh air. If breathing difficulty persists or occurs later, consult a physician and have label information available. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention immediately; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately. Close container after each use. If spilled, contain spilled material and remove with inert absorbent. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects, or other reproductive harm. ATTENTION: This container hazardous when empty. Empty container retains explosive vapors and flammable residues. All labeled hazard precautions must be observed. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not cut, puncture or weld on or near this container. Not rated for pressure, do not apply air or gas pressure. Do not reuse this container for any purpose. DANGER ­ Rags, steel wool or waste soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed, water-filled metal container. Obtain and Read the Material Safety Data Sheet Before Using. INTENDED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY.


This product contains a maximum of 340 grams of VOC/VOS per liter of coating. (2.8 pounds per gallon) This product is compliant under the Ozone Transport Commission regulations as an Industrial Maintenance Coating.

Insl-x warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Insl-x's sole obligation and the purchaser's exclusive remedy shall be limited, at Insl-x's option, to either replacement of nonconforming products or credit to the purchaser's account in an amount not greater than the original purchase price of the nonconforming products. Any claim under this warranty must be made by the purchaser, in writing to Insl-x, within ten (10) days of the purchaser's discovery of the claimed defect, but not later than the expiration of the applicable shelf life, or one year from the original delivery date, whichever is earlier. Purchaser's failure to notify Insl-x of any nonconformance as required shall bar the purchaser from recovery under this warranty. Insl-x makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose concerning its products. In no event shall Insl-x be liable for consequential or incidental damages. Any recommendation or suggestion relating to the usage of products made by Insl-x, whether in the form of literature, data, or in response to specific inquiry, or otherwise is based upon information believed to be reliable; however the products and information are intended for use by skilled and knowledgeable purchasers, and is therefore for the purchaser to satisfy itself of the suitability of the products for its own specific use, and it shall be deemed that the purchaser has done so, at the sole discretion and risk. Variation in application conditions, ambient conditions or extrapolation of information may cause unsatisfactory results.
