Apply functional neuro anatomy to neuroscience nursing practice Review pupil assessment and identify several abnormal signs Identify the diagnostic studies which contribute to the identification and management of the cerebral disorders Recognize signs and symptoms associated with CNS malignancies, stroke, SAH, cerebral infections Review the various forms of medical devices and their role in improving the rates of successful spinal surgery Describe the ideal candidate for deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease Discuss the ideal candidate for DBS procedure, the procedure, potential outcomes, adverse affects and future indications Review the state of the art of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring Review of gross neurophysiology and anatomy Compare the various therapeutic options currently available to treat brain attack, tumors, CNS infection
