Cooling Package

Integral side-by-side system provides a lightweight, high-efficiency cooling package Fewer fins per inch allows debris to easily pass through to minimize build up in the cooler The side-by-side design is more efficient cooler than a cooler with many layers Optimized cooler maximizes cooling even in hot weather The radiator is equipped with a de-aeration tank that allows air from the coolant system to escape. This reduces the likelihood that the engine will develop a hotspot or overheat. The tank is located at the firewall, so adding coolant to the system, when needed, is simple and easy. The hood is designed to direct air from the cooling fan out the sides of the engine compartment. This prevents dust from being kicked up that can disturb the spray pattern. The hood also has a top screen that allows additional air to be brought through the cooling package, ensuring sufficient air to keep everything running cool. Hydrostat Transmission

RoGator developed the tandem hydrostat cross-drive system that is found on almost every hydrostatic self-propelled sprayer in the market today. With 12 years of experience, the RoGator drive system continues to lead. The tandem hydrostat design drives the wheel motors in an "X" pattern, ensuring evenly distributed flow to the motors . If one tire breaks traction, two others are still driving When the machine is driven through a corner, the outside wheels need more flow than the inside wheels - this system allows this to happen without wasting power or creating unwanted heat buildup

Four-Speed Drive Package

The four-speed drive package gives the operator unmatched performance in the field or on the road. Frame Rails

Crop Clearance

With 50" crop clearance from front to back, the RoGator has the ability to spray late in the season. With its narrow wheel package, it can spray even tight rows with minimal crop damage. Hydraulic Track Width

Track width can be adjusted from 120 inches to 152 inches. Each wheel is independently controlled with its own switch located on the armrest. The operator can quickly make changes to the track width at any time and without leaving the cab Front and rear wheels can be set at different row spacing to help reduce compaction or crop damage Adjustable axle wear pads minimize the time needed to make adjustments to the axle

Steering

Leaf Spring Suspension

The RoGator leaf spring system employs a soft ride leaf that is longer than a standard leaf spring package. The spring is attached directly at the front end, with the rear attached through a short swing arm shackle. The shackle takes up the tendency of the leaf spring to elongate when compressed and thus makes for a softer spring. This allows for more movement from the spring and a softer ride. The use of a shock absorber at each corner improves the suspension's ability to handle sharp impacts and dampens out the rebound of the suspension. An advantage of a leaf spring over an air, hydraulic or coil spring suspension is, the leaf spring is attached to the frame directly at two points. This allows it to spread the load more widely over the vehicle's chassis; other springs transfer it to a single point. Field inputs are absorbed without adding stress to the frame and requiring more frequent maintenance. A leaf spring machine will hold a row better than any other suspension type. Each leaf set acts as both a spring and a horizontal stabilizer. This eliminates the body roll that is felt with other suspension types that will cause the machine to wander in the row. If holding a line in tight rows is important, no other machine will do it better than a RoGator 884/1084.

Pressure-Compensated Hydraulics

The RoGator uses pressure-compensated hydraulics for steering, boom motion and wheel tracking functions. This system offers the following advantages: Dedicated priority valve delivering oil to steering before other functions Reduced horsepower requirements that improve fuel efficiency Reduced oil heating Reduced strain on hoses

Product Control

The liquid system product pump has dedicated hydraulics, so steering or boom functions will not have a negative effect on the liquid pump output. This maintains a more consistent pump pressure that helps deliver a uniform spray pattern.

Reservoir

The RoGator is equipped with a 60-gallon hydraulic reservoir. A reservoir this size provides plenty of oil to be used in the system, allowing it to be properly cooled and filtered to maintain peak performance. The hydraulic reservoir employs a lowlever sensor, filtered breather, and a level sight gauge with thermometer The reservoir is located on the right side of the machine for convenient ground-level inspection and filling

Filtration

The RoGator hydraulic system filters all hydraulic oil every 90 seconds during field operation. This aggressive oil filtration system brings long life to the RoGator hydraulic components. Filtration starts at the hydraulic reservoir, with all suction lines pulling oil through a fine 100-mesh screen. This ensures that all oil going into the pumps is clean. Two hydraulic filters are attached to the hydrostat. These filter oil going from the charge pumps to the hydrostats at a rate of 19 gallons per minute.

The next line in filtration comes from the return oil manifold. Located under the center of the machine you will find two filters cleaning all the oil that is used in steering, boom functions and the liquid system pump. These filters clean the oil at a rate of 32 gallons per minute.

The final line in filtration comes from the case drain filter located on the right side of the machine. This filter cleans the cooling oil coming from the wheel motors.

Cooling

The RoGator uses a hydraulic cooler that is located in the front cooling package. This cooler will flow 32 gallons per minute of hydraulic oil during field operation. This rapid cooling keeps the hydraulic oil at the preferred operating temperature, giving long life to the hydraulic oil and the hydraulic components as well as maintaining optimum field performance.

Electrical 884·1084

Batteries

Two 12-volt batteries are located under the front of the machine. Space is available for an optional third battery for the coldstart option. This location allows for easy maintenance of the batteries. The box is also designed to allow the batteries to slide out of the compartment for maintenance instead of being lifting. The main battery disconnect is located to the left of the batteries inside the battery compartment. This allows for the batteries to be disconnected during periods of storage so battery drain is not an issue. This feature can also be used as an added measure of security since the battery disconnect key can be removed, preventing the machine from starting.

Auxiliary Jump Posts

Auxiliary battery jump posts are located on the left side of the machine near the reload station. These posts can be used to run an auxiliary liquid pump or other 12 volt accessories.

Alternator

The RoGator comes equipped with a 160-amp alternator. If additional power is needed for running chemical injection pumps or other accessories, a 200-amp alternator can be optioned.

Headlights

The RoGator is equipped with six halogen lights mounted in the hood. These are used for both road and field operations.

Taillights

The RoGator uses bright LED taillights that incorporate white back-up lights, red stop lights and amber turn signals.

Flasher / Hazard Lights

The front flashers are mounted on the boom rests or optional dry box light bar. The rear flashers are mounted on breakaway arms located on top of the liquid system.

Power Outlets

Electrical connections are located in convenient locations throughout the cab. There are two power outlets on the right-hand storage shelf. One power outlet is a 15-amp cigar lighter and the second is a 15-amp adapter plug containing a ground, constant 12V and switched 12V. This outlet can be used for powering a business band radio. There is an additional 12V 15-amp cigar lighter power outlet located on the left side storage compartment.

Instrument Cluster

The instrument cluster is designed with easy-to-read, backlit, white gauges. Gauges include: MPH/KPH Engine speed Water temperature (with warning light) Fuel level (with warning light) Engine oil pressure (with warning light) Battery voltage (with warning light) Warning lights are located above the instrument cluster.

HVAC

Standard automatic temperature control allows the operator to set preferred cab temperature Eight air ducts are strategically placed throughout the cab to keep air circulating and windows clear Three-level air filtration system combines a pre-filter and a charcoal cab filter to eliminate hazardous chemicals from the operator environment. A re-circulation filter filters the air inside the cab, keeping the operating environment clean The cab is equipped with a pressurizing fan to maintain positive air pressure inside the cab, preventing unfiltered air from entering the work environment

The industry leading paint and finish of a RoGator provides years of protection from corrosion and rust. All parts go through an extensive preparation prior to painting · Degreased · Bead blasted · Phosphate treated Rust-inhibiting epoxy primer is applied to all parts prior to assembly, this ensures that there are no metal on metal surfaces where corrosion can start The RoGator's signature finish coat is a high gloss acrylic urethane that is applied during an electrostatic-controlled spray process

Hydraulic Cylinders

All hydraulic cylinders on a RoGator use a Nitro coated cylinder ram, this coating prevents corrosion of the cylinder rod giving the cylinder a long life with little maintenance.

Hydraulic Fittings

All hydraulic fittings on the RoGator chassis have an o-ring face seal. These fittings eliminate leaks and make servicing the hydraulic lines easier. The fittings are painted to protect them from corrosion. This ensures a long life for the hydraulic hoses and fittings.

Electrical Routing

Electrical cables are routed away from hydraulic lines and are securely fastened to prevent wires from being pulled, rubbed or damaged while the machine is being operated. This helps eliminate unnecessary down time and reduces the maintenance needs.

Raven SmartTrax Assisted Steering (9A2081)

The Raven SmartTrax is a sub-meter level auto-steering system. Components include hydraulic steering valve, steer sensor, and associated wiring. The system must have a GPS receiver along with a light bar or Raven Envizio monitor to operate.

AutoGuide Assisted Steering (9A1950 No Freewave Radio) (9A1960 With Freewave Radio)

The AutoGuide assisted steering is a sub-meter level system that can be upgraded to decimeter and centimeter accuracy. The system includes a removable top dock, incab terminal, hydraulic valves and electrical wiring. The system can be easily removed or transferred to another machine that is AutoGuide ready.

AutoGuide Stand Alone (9A1970)

Includes in-cab harness and monitor. No top dock.

AutoGuide Ready (9A1940)

The AutoGuide ready option will make a machine ready to accept the AutoGuide top dock and in-cab terminal. This allows customers to transfer the AutoGuide steering system to and from any machine equipped with the AutoGuide ready system.

Raven Phoenix 200 (9A2317)

The Phoenix 200 presents an economical, high-performance sub-meter receiver capable of useing two differential correction solutions. With an optional upgrade to e-Dif extended differential technology, the Phoenix 200 is capable of achieving GPS accuracies of a few feet without the need for a differential signal broadcast. The 200 has the antenna and receiver built into one unit. Making adjustments to the receiver must be done through a laptop computer or a raven controller.

Raven Phoenix 300 (9A2318)

The Phoenix 300 is a WAAS CDGPS and OmniSTAR VBS capable receiver that can be upgraded to an OmniSTAR XP and HP unit (requires subscription service). It is capable of both sub-meter and decimeter correction accuracies depending on the correction signal being used. The Phoenix 300 also boasts such functions as Simulated Radar Output, replacing the need for a radar speed sensor. The AutoRestart Mode allows for quicker differential convergence times on startup, making delays a thing of the past.

This light bar is mounted externally on the front of the hood for easy visibility while operating. Includes button box in the cab for easy setup.

Envizio (9A2335)

The Envizio can be used as a stand-alone guidance system, or as an interface to existing Raven lightbars. Envizio's guidance features include a last pass guidance pattern.

Tilt Sensor (9A2336)

The light bar tilt module is an optional feature which you can add to your RGL light bar. This module is useful in fields in which tilt compensation is desired. Roll axes only.

Fenders (9A2370)

Polyethylene fenders mounted on front and rear axles giving good tire coverage in a lightweight design. The polyethylene construction is chemical resistant so they will maintain their shape even when exposed to chemical spray drift. Fender covers approximately half of the tread width for the 24.5 flotation tires.

Toolboxes are made of a durable black poly material. Door has a molded-in shelf for small parts. The entire box is well-sealed to keep contents clean. Box dimensions: 20.5" tall X 8.25" Deep X 23.5" Wide

Pressure Washer Cabinet (9A2068)

The pressure washer cabinet can be optioned on the chassis as a separate storage compartment located on the right-hand side of the machine. Cabinet dimensions: 20.5" Tall X 16" Deep X 24" wide

Pressure Washer (9A2070)

This pressure washer option is ideal for spot-cleaning the machine out in the field. It includes a hydraulically driven plunger-style pressure pump that produces 1000 PSI at 3 gallons per minute. 50 feet of pressure washer hose is attached to a selfrewinding hose reel. The hand gun and jet rinse nozzle both use a quick coupler for easy assembly and storage. The pressure washer is supplied water from the topmounted clean water tank. The pressure washer cabinet is automatically added when you choose this option.

Two satellite radio options are offered for the RoGator. You can pick an "XM" or "Sirius" satellite radio to be installed. Subscription fees for this service are not included in price of this option. Satellite radios have the same features as the standard radio which include an AM/FM weather band receiver and CD player capable of playing MP3s.

Auxiliary Lighting

Field or work lights can be added to the RoGator in two locations -- the boom rest for forward lighting and the left and right side toolboxes for lighting back to the booms. Lighting options are halogen lights or High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights.

Manual Track Adjust (9A2086)

This option will make the RoGator a fixed width track machine 120" center tire to center tire. Cylinders are replaced with track bars that have holes drilled to adjust the track in 4" increments. Machine must be raised up and supported and the wheel must be pulled out into position.

Air Ride Cab (9A2380)

The air ride cab option uses a non-adjustable dual air bag and shock absorber system. This system is similar to cab mountings used in over-the-road truck applications. The front of the cab is mounted to a rubber-isolated hinge mechanism which allows the cab to pivot while it is floating on the air bags. This greatly smoothes out the ride and improves operator comfort.

Cold Climate Package (9A2386)

The cold climate package includes a third battery, hydraulic tank heater and a bypass for the pressure compensated hydraulic pump. This allows for improved starting in cold weather. This option should be selected if the machine is going to be started in temperatures of 40 degrees or less on a regular basis.

Surface Protectant Spray (9A2996)

This is a transit coating to protect machine during shipping and/or long term storage. Requires a removal agent.

Gator Trak® 4-Wheel Steer (9A2066) (This option is not available with the Smart Trax

or AutoGuide assisted steering options.)

The Gator Trak 4-wheel steering systems incorporates a steering rear axle. Using a sensor on the left front and left rear leg, the rear steering will turn with the front axle giving the machine a 13.5° turning radius. The rear wheels will follow the path of the front wheels which helps to reduce crop damage. Gator Track can be operated in several modes.

2-Wheel Steer

The rear wheels stay in a straight-ahead position and the machine operates as a standard RoGator.

Auto 4-Wheel Steer

The rear axle will begin to turn and follow the front any time the front axle is turned past 6 degrees. This allows the machine to run down the field as a standard machine and have 4-wheel steering at the end rows without the operator having to flip any switches.

4-Wheel Steer

The rear axle will constantly monitor the front axle and automatically adjust. This gives the machine coordinated steering throughout the field.

Crab Steering

In this mode the rear wheels will turn in the same direction as the front. The machine will also be able to move horizontally. This can be implemented in side hill operations.

Jog Left / Jog Right

The jog left and jog right feature can be used in the 2-wheel steer mode. If the rear wheels are not tracking with the front wheels the jog buttons can be pressed to move the rear wheels in alignment with the front. This will eliminate any "dog walking" that may occur while operating in the field or on the road.
