About This DVD

Whether you are seeking a review as part of your exam preparation or simply to help you remain current in your field, this intensive and comprehensive course is designed to strengthen your knowledge in the specialty of pediatric cardiology. The teaching program features an intensive and concise review of pediatric cardiology, an appropriate blend of relevant basic science and clinical applications, board simulation questions and answers, and a distinguished faculty of outstanding clinician-educators who combine topic expertise with demonstrated teaching skill. This DVD teaching program was produced from the filming of the 2008 course, "Specialty Review in Pediatric Cardiology," which was presented under the direction of Dr. Maria Serratto, Course Director (Professor of Pediatrics - Cardiology, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Chief Pediatric Exercise Laboratory, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County), and Dr. Wayne H. Franklin, Course Co-Director (Past President, Society of Pediatric Cardiology Training Program Directors, Clinical Practice Director, Cardiology, Children's Memorial Hospital, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine). The 2008 conference was jointly sponsored by the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology; the Society of Pediatric Cardiology Training Program Directors; and Children's Memorial Hospital (Chicago).

All DVD course participants are required to take a test in order to be awarded credit. (Exam materials, if ordered, will be sent with your DVD order.) All DVD course participants will also have the opportunity to critically evaluate the program as it relates to practice relevance and educational objectives.

This DVD series was planned and produced by Educational Symposia, a leader in continuing medical education since 1975. This DVD series was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essential Areas and Elements.
