Resolution TheChiefoftheExecutiveCouncilforSaudiCommission,byvirtueof powersvesteduponhimandbasedontheExecutiveCouncilMeetingheld on12/04/1428H(29/04/2007G),inwhichthereportoftheCouncilwas discussed,do,hereby,issuethefollowingresolutionsasagreedandpassed theabovemeeting: 1. The amendment of professional classification and registration 4th editionmanual1426H(2005)isherebyapproved.

Introduction: TheSaudicommissionforHealthSpecialities,realizingtheimportanceofthe roleentrustedtoitintheareaofhealthprofessionpractice,andinitsquest topreciselyexecutethecriticaltasksitshoulderbesideitsappreciationofthe valuableRoyaltrustbestoweduponitbythewiseGovernmentoftheCustodian oftheTwoHolyMosquesasexpressedintheRoyalDefenceNo.(M/C)dated trust06/02*/1413H,deemsthatoneofitsforemosttasksistoimplementits objectivesrelatedtoestablishmentofhealthcriteriaandstandardsforhealth professionpracticeandtoclassifyhealthcertificatesholdersfortheprofession compatiblewiththeireducationalqualificationsandpracticalcapabilitiesat thetimeofclassificationasitiscommonlyunderstoodthatanydefectinthe professional practices involves the risk of endangering the health and well beingofpeopleinhabitingthisdeerland.

The Saudi Commission, in its attempt to put things right, and trying to establishasetofgeneralrulesdealingwithhealthpractitionersinfittingwith their practical experiences, has formulated a standard scale and essential proceduresrequiredtoequalizehealthcertificatesaandevaluatetherespective holdersastotheirprofessionalcapabilitiesinholdertobeaccreditedbythe Commission.

ItisalsoemphasizedthattheCommission,bynomeans,intendtoundermine anypartyorriseanysuspicionsitsscientificoreducationalefficiencybutrather intendstojustlygiveeveryonewhathedeservesamidsuchhugevariations intermsoftrainingmethodsandperiodsbetweenthedifferentcountriesand toselecttheefficientpractitionerwithupdatedknowledgeandprogressinhis specialtytoworkinthehealthdomainaccordingtohiscapabilities. Furthermore,wewouldalsoliketoindicatethatthosespecialcommitteesfor evaluatingtheprofessionalabilitiesandefficiencyofcandidates,aswellas examofevaluationsandprofessionalclassificationwhichwerespecifically prepared for this purpose aim to ascertain the required standard of safe practice.

TheCommissionhasputanumberofmeasuredtoassessthepreviouspractical experience (training) along with subsequent experiences for obtaining certificates and professional training based non accuracy and objectivity observingthattheminimumdegreeforprofessionalgradingistheprogram standardofrelevanttrainingrecognizedintheKingdomofSaudiArabiawhich isapplicabletoallcertificatesrequiringprofessionalaccreditation.

First: General Definitions:

Update of health practitioner and its commitment to the continuous training and education programme after the registration periodwhichextendsforthreeyearsfornonSaudi and five years for Saudis provided that any person over 60 shall provide evidence of hisfitnesstowork. isasequentialprocessstartingwithverifying Professional thegenuinenessofqualifications,experiences Accredotation andtheirauthenticationwithrelationtoworkin healtharea,aswellasprofessionalevaluation to ascertain the minimum required standard of safety of professional practice cilinically and theoretically, thereby, specifying the professional status as per the Certificate and itssubsequentexperiencesandtheresultofthe exam. ProfessionalEvaluation A process preformed by the Commission to define appropriate academic and professional level of applicant for classification. The evaluation shall be performed through one or allofthefollowingprocedures: 1.Study of application by specialized consultant to decide appropriate level. 2. Written examination 3.Academic,clinicalandpracticalevaluation byspecializedcommittee.

Acquisitionof experience

Hospital that include main disciplines and has at least one consultant or a senior specialist foreveryspecialty. Center specialized in one of the medical branches or supportive medical branches, whereconsultantsareworkinginthefieldof specialty. Attendance of a training course by a prequalified health practitioner to acquire additional technology in his specialty, whichshallnotberegardedasaqualifying certificate in itself and shall be counted as halfofitsperiod. Hospitalorspecializedcenterrecognizedas acenterforthepurposeoftraining. Continues practices in the field of specialization, and shall be counted as follows: A. Iftheplaceofworkwasinahospital or specialized center, one year service shall be equal to one year of experience. B. Iftheworkwasinahealthcenterora facility deemed as such, each year of serviceshallbeconsideredhalfyearof experience. C. If the work was not in the field of specialization, no experience period shallbeconsideredandthepersonshall bedeemedasinterruptingthepractice inthefieldofspecialization. Experience required to qualify to a higher gradeortothoseproventohaveprofessional shortage by either failing the professional examgivenbytheCommissionorbyhaving theirprofessionalpracticesinterrupted.

Non-practicesofspecializationforaperiod oftwoyearsormore. General practitioner Holder of a bachelor's degree in general Physician/General medicineandsurgeryorgeneraldentistryand practitioner Dentist completedoneyearofinternshipatleast. ResidentPhysician A. Holder of Bachelor's degree and completedoneyearofinternshipinaddition tooneyearinthefieldofspecialization. B. Holderofhigherpostgraduate(diploma not less than 2 years - or master) in any medical specialty, but has not completed required period of experience to become eligibletobeclassifiedasaspecialist. C. Holder of one years diploma in any medicalspecialty RigistrarPhysician Holder of a spatiality certificate of not less than 2 years and who had completed the requiredexperienceswherethetotaltraining spent for the certificate and experience is fouryears. SeniorRigistrarphysician HolderofSaudispecializationcertificateor equivalentthereto Consultant HolderofSaudiSpecializationcertificateor equivalent thereto and completed a period of experience not less than three years in the field of specialization in a recognized hospital or health center. GeneralSpecialization Mainspecializationinoneofmedicalareas such as internal medicine, surgery etc, the training for which is based on a specified curriculum and is done in a recognized center after attaining the bachelor's degree inmedicine.Thepracticesshallbedonein thesamefieldofspecialization. Sub-Specialization Specializationinoneofthebranchesofgeneral medicine,thetrainingforwhichisperformed throughpracticalandtheoreticalexperience afterachievingahigherqualificationinthe general specialization like cardiology. This hastobedoneafterobtainingspecialization in the internal medicine.

Specializationinoneofthemedicalbranches suchascardiology,endocrinology,neurology etc without obtaining a higher certificate in general specializations, the training for which shall be after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in general medicine. Provided that subsequentpracticesshallexclusivelybein thesamespeciality. Holderofmedicalorhealthqualificationbut isnotentitledtoworkinthespecialtydueto interruption of his work for more than two years. Highest professional certificate granted by the commission to physicians after having completed recognized clinical training and passingspecifiedexaminationwhichisequal todoctoratecertificateprofessionally.

Second: Principles and Standards 2-1 Inprinciple,theCommissionrecognizesallcertificatesissuedbyuniversities orequivalentinstitutions,whilepreservingitsrighttodenyanycertificatethat breachesthelawsandstandardscurrentlyinforceandvalidintheKingdomof SaudiArabia. 2-2 ItisnecessaryforSaudistohaveSaudiequivalencefortheacademiccertificates (Bachelor,masterandDoctorate)acquiredfromoutsidetheKingdomofSaudi ArabiabytheSaudiministryofHighereducation. 2-3 TheCommissionrecognizesalldomestichealthtrainingprogramssupervised by the Saudi universities and similar institutions so long as they are in line withtherequirementsofthetrainingprogramsapprovedbytheCommission. Nevertheless, the Commission preserves the right to eliminate programs whichfailstomeettheCommissionrequirementsandsubjectitsgraduatesto professionalclassificationasrequired. 2-4 TheCommissionrecognizescertificatesissuedbyprivatehealthandcolleges legallylicensedbytheconcernedauthoritiesintheKingdomofSaudiArabia. 2-5 Applicants for professional classification must pass professional evaluation proceduresasdefinedbytheCommission. 2-6 TheCommissionfullyregardsthecertificateanditsholder;therefore,itassures that practitioner's classification is compatible with their capabilities and professionalexperienceatthetimeoftheirevaluation. 2-7 Whereas the professional classification aims at approving a candidate for clinicalprofession,theperiodconsideredforawardingthecertificateshallonly betheactualperiodofpracticaltraininginthefieldofspecialization. 2-8 Thetrainingandeducationalprogrammesinthehealthfieldacceptedbythe Commissionarethoseauthenticatedbyprogrammestowhichthepractitioner joinsandgraduallyadvancesbothinstandardsandinresponsibilitiesfromone leveltoanotheraccordingtothespecifiedstandardsinthequalifiedtraining centersrenownedforefficiency.Theminimumlimitoftrainingshallbethat whichtheCommissionapprovesforitsprogrammes. 2-9 The health certificate accreditation shall be based on against the minimum requiredlevelofacceptanceforprogramme. 2-10Accumulationofcoursesanddeductionofperiodsfromexperiencewiththe purposeofqualifyinginthehealthfieldshallnotbeallowed.

2-11In order to classify practitioner, the Commission shall follow the laws and regulationsinforceandapplicableintheKingdomofSaudiArabiae.g.Health JobRegulation,HealthProfessionsPracticeAct,PrivatehealthInstitutionsAct andrelevanttrainingregulationsoftheCommission. 2-12 Overlapped Periods of training to obtain different qualification shall be consideredonlyonce. 2-13Decisionspassedpreliminaryforalesserlevelthanwhatisobservedbythe applicant shall not be considered for profession classification for the holder exceptafteroneyearfromthedateofdecisionorexam. 2-14Holders of qualification equivalent to Saudi specialization certificates and who, according to laws of Saudi Universities, were prompted to associate professor rank while working in such universities, may be classified to the gradeofaconsultantupontherecommendationoftheProfessionClassification Committee. 2-15Certificates not specifically ncluded in this manual shall be assessed for classification in accordance with the laws governing the training currently applicableintheKingdomofSaudiArabia. 2-16Classification applicantion for non-saudi. who fails to complete experience yearsshallnotbeacceptedexceptforpersonsbornorresidentintheKingdom ofSaudiArabiaandcompletedthehighschoolatleastinitsschools.These persons may be classified and registered under the condition that the, work underthesupervisionofspecialistuntiltheygaintherequiredexperienceyears (2years). Third: Certificates that will not be professionally classified: 3-1 Certificatesofmostlyacademicnatureandcharacter,thecurriculaofwhichdo notincludepatientcare,clinicalpracticeandpracticaltraininginthefieldof specializationwillnotbeprofessionallyclassified. 3-2 HealthCertificatesacquiredthroughhonorarytrainingprogramsorasavisiting physician or a non-practicing associate or those which are obtained through correspondenceandthelikewillnotbeclassified. 3-3 Certificatesrelatedtoindigenousmedicinewillnotbeclassifiedbecauseofthe non-recognitionofsuchtypesofmedicineintheKingdomofSaudiArabia. 3-4 Certificatesissuedfromhealthunrelatedcollegesandinstitutes. 3-5 Bachelorcertificatesofeducationalspecializationsuchashomeeconomicsand special education. 3-6 Technicaldiplomainchemistry,biologyorzoologyetc 3-7 Certificatethatarenotsubjecttoatrainingprogramorthatareacquiredduring workinunrecognizedtrainingcenters

3-8 Registrationcertificateforobtainingworkpermitsoraffiliation(membership) ofcertainassociationsthataregrantedafterpassingthelicensingexamination inspecificcountriessuchasUnitedStatedofAmerica. 3-9 Certificates obtained or granted through affiliation or distance learning and contradictthelawsofhighereducation. 3-10Bridge programmes with specific universities made outside the university campus such as radiology bridging from Sudan University for sciences and technology. 3-11Psychology diploma certificate fromAin Shames University in liaison with KingsCollegeinLondon. 3-12Dermatology diploma or doctorate certificate issued by Boston University, USAandmedicineequivalentcertificate. 3-13Certificates from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in the United StatedofAmerica. Fourth: Health Courses and Modification of Specialty 4-1 HealthCourses: 4-1-1 Educational health courses, obtained by a trainee through a full time attendancefromaspecializedbody,andwhichhasaprogrammelegally approvedbytheCommission,thedurationofsuchcourseshallbefully countedastheperiodofthecourse. 4-1-2 Courseswhichareheldinnon--academicinstitutionsorcoursesthat are completed by the trainee by joining one of the sections similar to the cooperative training system without taking a full timeAttendance and where the trainee is granted a raining certificate at the end of the specifiedperiodofthecoursewithoutexamination.Theperiodcounted shallbeconsideredashalfoftheactualperiodofsuchcourse. 4-2 HoldersofHealthCoursesCertificate'sspecialtymodification 4-2-1 The specialization may be modified if the following conditions are fulfilled A. The original specialization and specialization to which modification is requiredshallbeinthesamefieldofpractice. B. Theapplicantformodificationshallpossesexperienceinthesamefield ofspecializationforaperiodnotlessthantwoyears. C. Theapplicantforsuchmodificationshallbesubjectedtoanevaluation examinationinthenewfieldofspecialization.

5-1 Optometry: 5-1-1 Optometrist:Holderofabachelordegreeinoptometryandhascompleted thenecessaryexperienceperiod.Hemusthavecompleteknowledgeof the eye, its different parts and the function of each part in addition to ability to perform eyesight examination, fix lenses and diagnoses and treateyeproblems. 5-1-2 Optician:Holderofadiplomaof2or3yearsafterthesecondaryschool orequivalenttheretofromrecognizedinstituteorcollege.Ingeneralhe must have sufficient knowledge of the eye, different complementary parts and the function of each part in addition to ability to perform eyesight examination under the supervision of an ophthalmologist or optometrist. 5-1-3 Opticaltechnician:Holderofdiplomaafterastudyofnotlessthantwo years at a specialized institute after secondary school. In general, his work shall be limited to eyeglasses and lenses selling and fixing and heshouldhaveadequateknowledgeofalltypesofmedicaleyeglasses, sunglasses,eyeglassesframesandcontactlenses.Furthermore,heshould befamiliarwiththeiradvantagesanddisadvantages. 5-2 MedicalLaboratories: Inadditiontowhatwasstatedabove(articlefive)otherprofessionsinthefield ofmedicallaboratoriesshallbeclassifiedasfollows: 5-2-1 Holderofbachelordegreeinspecializationsindirectlyrelatedtomedial laboratories such as bio-chemistry or general micro-biology shall be classified as laboratory technicians provided that applicants shall have hadaoneyearqualificationcourseinthefieldofspecializationoratleast twoyearsintheirfieldinspecializedmedicallaboratories. 5-3 Nutrition: Consideringwhathasbeenstatedinarticlefive,thecategoriesinnutritionfield areclassifiedinaccordancewiththefollowing: 5-3-1 The holder of diploma in clinical therapeutic nutrition of at least two yearsdurationafterhighschoolorrecognizedmiddlecollegeshallbe classifiedforthegradeoftechnicianinnutritionprovidedthatheworks underthesupervisionofClinicalnutritionspecialist. 5-3-2 Theholderofbachelor'sdegreeinclinicaltherapeuticnutritionfroma healthcollegewithoneyearinternshipshallbeclassifiedasaspecialist in clinical therapeutic nutrition.

5-3-3 The holder of a master degree or an equivalent thereto in the field of clinical therapeutic nutrition obtained after the bachelor degree in dietaryscience,providedthattheperiodofpracticaltraininginnutrition /therapeuticisnotlessthantwoyears,shallbeclassifiedasaspecialist in clinical therapeutic nutrition or as first specialist after gaining the necessaryexperience. 5-3-4 Holderofbachelordegreeinnutritionsciencesfromacollegeofsciences, agriculture,orthelikeareclassifiedasspecialistsinclinicalnutritionon theconditionsthattheysuccessfulcompleteaprogramofqualification inclinicalnutrition/therapeuticrecognizedbytheCommissionshall begradedinrelationtorelevantqualifyingprogramacquiredbyeach. 5-3-5 Currentworkingstaffinnutritionsciencesareclassifiedandregistered accordingtothecurrentstatuteofregulationimplementedbyMinistryof Health(MOH)inlinewiththeirprevailingpositionsandbycoordinating with their respective authoritative departments, provided that their positions to be compared to none in the future, as their case being exceptional. 5-3-6 Holder of bachelor degree in nutrition sciences from colleges of agriculturesciencesandthelikeareclassifiedtobegradeoftechnician innon-clinicalnutritionsciences,providedthathe/sheworksexclusively onfoodservicessupervision. 5-4 Psychology: ClinicalPsychologyUnderthishealthcategorythefollowingshallbeconsitered, Health Guidance, Psychology, Neurological Psychology and legal / criminal Psychology.Theseareclassifiedasstatedinarticlefive,hereinprovidedthat thebachelordegreeholdersareclassifiedasfollows: 5-4-1 TheholderofbachelordegreeinPsychologyisprofessionallyclassified for the grade of specialist assistant provided that he works under the supervisionofseniorspecialistorconsultantinPsychology. 5-4-2 TheholderofbachelordegreeinPsychologyplusclinicalexperiencenot lessthan3yearsisclassifiedasaspecialistinPsychology. 5-5 Sociology: 5-5-1 The holder of bachelor degree in sociology shall be classified for the statusofsociologists. 5-5-2 Theholderofbachelordegreeinsocialservicesoranequivalentthereto shallbeclassifiedforthestatusofaspecialistinsocialservice.

Sixth: Pharmacy

6-1 Classificationofpharmacists Pharmacistsshallbeclassifiedandregisteredasfollows: Level (grade) Pharmacist Senior Pharmacist Certificate Experience Bachelor / Master degree fromrecognizeduniversity, scientificbodyorinstitute Masterdegreeorequivalent Programandexperience thereto in pharmaceutical total Four (4) Years. sciencesaftercompletionof requiredexperienceperiod. Doctorate (PhD) degree in pharmaceutical sciences Doctorate (PhD) degree In addition to at least or equivalent thereto in threeyearsexperience pharmaceutical sciences fromrecognizeduniversity.

Consultant Pharmacist

6-2 PHARM-DCertificates: ADoctorate(Pharm.D)degreeinclinicalpharmacologyPHARM-Dshallbe classifiedasfollows: a. PHARM-D: Provided the period of study / training shall not be less than two years after having obtained the bachelor degree in pharmacology,shallprofessionallybeequivalenttomasterdegree. b. PHARM-D:Providedtheperiodofstudy/trainingshallnotbeless than six years after the secondary school in addition to one year of practical training in a recognized center / hospital (accredited residencytrainingprogramme).itshallbeprofessionalequivalentto masterdegree c. PHARM-D:Providedtheperiodofstudyandtrainingshallnotbeless thantwofromobtainingthebachelordegreeinpharmacyinaddition to two years of practical training in recognized center or hospital (accredited residency training programme). It shall be professional equivalenttoPh.Ddegree. d. PHARM-D: Provided the period of study and training shall not be lessthansixyearsafterthesecondaryschoolinadditontofouryears of practical training in recognized center or hospital (accredited residencytrainingprogramme),Itshallbeprofessionalequivalentto thedoctorate(Ph.D)degree.

Seventh: Acupuncture: Classification for practice in the field of treatment using "Acupuncture" shall be accordingtothefollowingconditions: A. ItshallbeconditionalforthepersonpracticingAcupuncturetoobtain senior specialist grade and physician at least attended at least 200 traininghoursortwomonthfull-timeAcupunctureasexperiencefroma recognizedcenter. GraduatesofinstitutionsspecializinginAcupunctureafterhighschool who have had trained for 3 years shall be classified as Acupuncture technician.

Eight: Chiropractor: Holders of Chiropractor bachelor shall be classified to specialist in Chiropractor providedthattheyshallworkunderthesupervisionofspecialistphysician. 14-3-5 SpecializationCertificates: 14-3-5-1 Until 1999, 2-grades specialization and consisted of two stages: A. Until 1999, this specialization required practical training of 3 to 4 years after passing stage 1 (the DYPLOM 1 STOPINA) and the state examination. Such specialization qualifies the holder to sub- specialization. B. Pursuant to the Ministerial Resolution Nr 2118/20 dated 21/02/1420H the CommissionshallclassifyVisitingPhysiciansinaccordancewiththefollowing criteria: A. ThePhysicianmusthavethestatusofaconsultantinhiscountryandshould exercise rare specialization using new techniques that are not currently availableintheKingdomofSaudiArabia B. ThePhysicianmustbeinapossessionofavalidlicenseofprofessional practicesinhiscountry. C. ThePhysicianmustnothavebeenconvictedofviolatingaSharialowor beenfoundguiltyofacriminaloffenceofamedicalmistakeornegligence. ThePhysicianmustnothavebeendeportedfromtheKingdomofSaudi Arabiaforanyreasonrelatedtothemedicalprofession. D. The recommendation of the party inviting the visiting physician shall notbeconsideredasclassificationcertificateforpermanentprofessional practiceintheKingdomofSaudiArabia.

Sixteenth: General Terms: 16-1Theclassificationofholdersofhealthcertificatesobtainedfromabroadshallbe determinedthroughprofessionalevaluation. 16-2Re-classification may be preformed for those against whom a decision of disqualificationhadbeenpassedduetotheirfailureintheevaluationexamination aftertheyhavecompletedaperiodoftrainingandacquirednewexperiences in a hospital or else wher or acquired a higher qualification recognized by the Commission.The application for reclassification shall not be entertained except after the elapse of at least one year from the date of the decision of disqualification.

16-3Health practitioners who were allowed an exceptional chance and who pass theprofessionalevaluationexamthereaftershallbere-evaluatedafteroneyear fromthedateofissueoftheprofessionalclassificationdecision.Incaseoftheir repeatedfailureintheexam,adecisionoffinaldisqualificationshallbepassed againstthem. 16-3-1 Saudi health practitioners passing the fourth phase to be subjected tore-evaluationafter1yearoftheclassificationresolutiondate.The resolutionwillinclude(reevaluationafteroneyear) 16-4Classificationfromonegradetoanothershallbesubjecttoanewapplication and evaluation. 16-5Consultantgovernmentalstaffprofessionalclassificationresolutionshallnotbe issuedexceptbyvirtueofarequestfromconcernedgovernmentdepartment. 16-6Classification shall not be performed for a professionally lower grade than that for which the applicant had applied because of his failure in achieving thequalifyingmarksforthegradeappliedfor,Exceptnursingstaffinhealth centers,dispensariesandcliniccomplexesastheymayapplyforthenursing assistantexams,iftheyfailedinnursingexamsprovidedtheywillexclusively workinhealthcenters,dispensariesandcliniccomplexes. 16-7Physiciansapplyingforthegradeofaseniorspecialist/consultantwhodonot passinthefirsttrailshallbeallowedtorepeattheexaminationandincaseof failure, he shall be granted only the grade of a specialist. However, he shall beentitledtoapplyforaprofessionalclassificationforpromotiontoahigher gradeoneyearafterthedateofpassingthenonphysicianexamination. 16-8Incaseofinterruptionofhealthpracticeforaperiod2to5years,itisimperative thatsuchpersonattendatrainingprogramrangingfrom2to6monthsdepending on the period of interruption. If interruption period exceeded five years, the trainingshallbeforoneyear. 16-9Incaseofinterruptionofhealthpracticeofphysicianitwillbeasfollows: A. Interruptionformorethantwoyearsormaximumtimelimitoffiveyears: Itisimperativethatthehealthpractitioner'sexperiencebeassessed,there byhavingtraininginthisareaofspecialtyfromtwomonthstosixmonths followedbypassingtheprofessionalclassificationexamination. B. Interruptionformorethanfiveyearsandlessthantenyears:itisimperative thatthehealthpractitioner'sexperiencebeassessedandshouldgetraining forsixmonthsifhehadpreviouspracticalexperienceoronecompleteyear incaseofnopracticalexperiencehaseverbeentakenfollowedbypassing theprofessionalclassification.

C. Interruption for more than ten years for those whom have had previous practicalexperience:itisimperativethatthehealthpractitioner'sexperience be assessed and should get training for one year followed by passing the professionalclassification. D. Interruptionformorethantenyearswithoutpreviousrecognizedpractical experience:itisimperativetogettrainingforonecompleteyearatleastina recognizedtrainingcenterscoringpassingmarksinfourcoursesofspecialty (internalmedicine,pediatrics,generalsurgeryandobstetricsandgynecology) withdurationofthreemonthseach. 16-10 Thenumberofentriesfortheexaminationshallbelimitedasfollows: A. Commission's exams via PROMETRIC Company: the applicant shall be allowed two times for passing the classification exams in three months. However, if the applicant failed or absented, it shall be granted another exceptionalopportunitytoattendtheexaminthreemonthsfromthedateof lastattemptafterhavingpaidthefixedfees.However,iftheapplicantagain failedorabsented,itshallbedisqualifiedbytoaspecialresolution. B. Scheduled Written Exams (committees): the applicant shall have two sequentialchances.However,iftheapplicantfailedorabsented,itshallbe grantedanotherexceptionalopportunitytoattendtheexamafterhavingpaid thefixedfees.However,iftheapplicantagainfailedorabsented,heshallbe disqualifiedbytoaspecialresolution. C. Incaseofdis-qualification,theapplicantmayapplyagainsttotheexamafter oneyearfromthedateofresolutionafterhavingpaidthestipulatedfees. D. GraduatesHealthInstitutes,HealthColleges,andCommunityCollegesin the Kingdom of SaudiArabia shall be granted two attempts; followed by trainingforthosewhofailtopasstheexam,andfurthertwomoreattempts willalsobeallowed,andfinallytheywillbesubjecttoanevaluationbya committeeasalastattemptbeforeaCentralExaminationprojectunderway wouldhavebeenimplementedbySaudiCommission. 16-10-1Theapplicantemployershallbenotifiedwiththeresolution. 16-11 ThedateoftheapprovalbytheCollegeCouncilofacandidate'sresultshallbe consideredthedatehewasawardedhiscertificate. 16-12 Holderofbachelorinmedicineandsurgerymaybequalifiedaspharmaceutical productsrepresentativesafterpassingpharmacyprofessionalevaluation. 16-13 Ophthalmologistwhowouldliketoworkintheopticalcentershavetoapplyfor extralicenseinoptometryandaresubjecttowrittenexaminationonoptometry andincaseofpassingtheexamination,theyaregrantedextralicenseinoptometry providedtheyexclusivelyworkinopticalcenters,inthefieldofoptometry.
