A Message about 2011

Dear Advertisers and Advertising Prospects -- Here's our 2011 media kit. 2011 is going to be an exciting year at Vacation Ownership WORLD -- one that builds on the changes we implemented in 2010 in our ongoing effort to benefit readers and advertisers alike. Vacation Ownership WORLD's transition from print to digital format has been greeted warmly by readers and advertisers alike. Through early August, our subscriptions have increased 15% in 2010. This is our biggest boost in recent years and directly attributable to the increased sample issue subscription campaigns we've carried out. So in 2010, our circulation expanded dramatically due especially to hugely increasing the scope of our promotional efforts, but also due to a healthy increase in subscriptions. Expanded distribution means that your ads are reaching a growing audience of industry-specific participants and observers. Our distribution includes our advertisers and subscribers (approximately 2,500) and the sample issues (1,000 to 1,500 each issue) we send to non-subscriber attendees of industry related events like the ARDA spring and fall meetings, the Ragatz Seminars, and Interval's Vacation Ownership Investment Conference. In addition, if you provide us with a compatible (Excel) list of a targeted audience you absolutely want to reach, we'll integrate that list with our other samplers and make sure they got a copy of the magazine (win-win: you get a guarantee the magazine reaches your target audience and we get a new pool of subscriber prospects). Further, we'll allow you to distribute the magazine. We'll simply email you the file of any issue you request, enabling you to freely distribute as you see fit. To anybody you want. So we distribute, you distribute and distribution is both maximized and made extremely target-audience efficient so far as you are concerned. Finally, in 2011, Vacation Ownership WORLD will be circulating its stories to Internet news distribution services to maximize exposure and help create a broader and more accurate view of this industry. Vacation Ownership WORLD will continue to offer all of its advertisers substantially discounted advertising on its website (evacationownershipworld.com) and it will be offering those who advertise in each issue (our 9x schedule) FREE advertising on its website. There will of course be the ability to link all evacationonershipworld.com ads directly to the websites' of advertisers. Vacation Ownership WORLD's coverage will continue to reflect the changes taking place in this industry. A new business, and new business models and approaches, are forming as a result of the challenges the industry is confronting, and we will resolutely report on this process in depth. Thank you,

Scott Burlingame Editor/Publisher, Vacation Ownership WORLD

Dear Advertising Prospect --

w rld

Here's our 2011 media kit. It contains the basics -- a bit about who we are and whom we reach, our publication schedule, and rate sheet. Here's a check-list of some of the advantages of advertising with us: * It's the oldest, established and most respected publication in the industry. Our readers are loyal (80% renewal rates) -- so loyal in fact they pay to read the magazine! * Our circulation is approximately 2,500. The bulk of this is subscribers and advertisers (representing the established players in the industry), but we will also be e-mailing digital sample promotional copies to 1,0001,500 people each issue. These largely represent new entrants into the industry. We sample to ARDA convention attendees and to participants at recent seminars (e.g. Ragatz's fractional seminars, Interval's Resort and Investment Conference, etc.). We buy the lists and rinse them for subscribers and advertisers. But the point is, the magazine is going out to the established blood and the new blood alike. This is an important consideration in an industry undergoing the substantial changes we are now experiencing. * Our core audience is exactly whom you want to reach with an ad: the top executives and decision makers in the industry. (Who decides whether to purchase your services?) * The coverage in the magazine is broad, spanning development, sales and marketing, finance, resort operations and management. So, if you're involved with vacation ownership, we are in front of your audience. In 2011, this will include covering areas like the financing that is emerging, restructuring and reorganizations, distressed real estate purchase and sale, and more. * Value: Advertising in Vacation Ownership WORLD is a better value than advertising in other industry publications. You save from 40% to over 100%, and still reach the audience you're after: vacation ownership and high-end leisure executives, professionals, vendors, and investors. So comparison shop. Compare the price; compare the value. * Advertisers receive priority coverage. While we report on the issues, trends, and developments with the biggest impact on the industry, advertisers get priority coverage. This means that newsworthy press releases sent by your company have a very high likelihood of appearing in the magazine. This raises the profile of your company. * There are additional benefits. For example, to guarantee we are getting in front of who you want to reach with an ad you can provide us with an emailing list (in Excel) and we'll email the magazine to them! Or we'll send you a PDF copy of the magazine and you can send it yourself! To whomever you want! Your ad is going out to your specified audience and we are getting additional prospective subscribers to the magazine. Also, magazine advertisers receive discounts on all advertisements on our website.
