The MilkoScan FT 120 comes in a basic configuration to which you can add exactly the optional modules you need. The system can be upgraded with more advanced modules as your needs change.

FOSS and the dairy industry For decades FOSS has helped dairies and milk testing laboratories to keep pace with their analysis demands. Today, trends such as increasingly sophisticated consumer tastes and the relentless pressure for profit improvement make FOSS dedicated analytical solutions more relevant than ever. Investing heavily in continuous research and development, FOSS solutions make innovative use of a variety of analysis technologies to address demands crucial to the success of laboratories and dairy producers. Using approved measuring principles, FOSS dedicated analytical solutions provide convenience, speed and

labour savings, while delivering high analytical capacity and low cost per sample. Common issues such as the need for analytical results with minimal operational concerns about calibration, usability and instrument uptime are constantly kept in mind in the design of any FOSS solution. Results for key measurement parameters are delivered in a simple, reliable and timely way ­ helping dairies to improve both quality and profit in virtually every aspect of dairy production. Solutions include compositional analysis, somatic cell count, hygienic quality of raw milk and compositional and microbiological testing of finished products such as cheese and yoghurt. The basic configuration

The MilkoScanTM FT 120 features a flexible configuration design through the use of modules. The basic configuration can be upgraded with software and hardware modules - you only pay for what you need! Advanced Performance Module

This module is an extension to the Application Module and enables you to develop calibrations for products and parameters for which FOSS has not yet released a calibration. The Balance Option

FOSS Calibrations

The basic configuration offers four calibrations "Basic Milk", "Basic Cream", "Basic Whey" and "Basic Fermented" - for determination of Fat, Protein, Lactose, Total Solids and Solids-non-Fat in simple dairy products. For complex products that need special calibrations, or if you wish to analyse new components, FOSS provides ready-for-use calibrations for instruments equipped with the Application Module. This option enables import of reference result data as well as IR-spectra exported from other MilkoScan FT 120 instruments. It also makes it possible to analyse calibration samples on `slave' instruments and transfer data to a `master' instrument. This means coordinated and cost-effective development of calibrations for a whole group of instruments.

(This option requires the Application Module.)

Calibration Master Software

The calibration Master is a stand-alone version of the Application Module and the Advanced Performance Module combined with the Import Option.
