:: TowneBank, Great Bridge Banking Center ::

The project is located near the intersection of Battlefield Boulevard and Mount Pleasant Road. It is comprised of three distinct areas, Towne Hall, TowneBank, and Towne Insurance. The Towne Hall will be used by the Bank for training, and will be available to be rented out to community groups. The TowneBank portion of the building will be the second branch bank in the city of Chesapeake for the Bank. The Towne Insurance portion of the building will house the Bank's insurance company's new offices. The building was conceived as three distinct parts, with glass corridors to connect each part. The exterior of the building was designed to reflect the signature style that has been developed from the previous two branch banks, incorporating a front porch with a gabled roof and the same materials as were used on the other buildings. The building is unique for several reasons. Each distinct function housed within the building is expressed on the exterior through three prominent entrance features that continue the same architectural language as the Bank's other buildings. This allows the building to break the tradition of the anonymous box office building, and allows the occupants to function independently and as one at the same time. Another unique element atypical to this building type is the Towne Hall portion of the building. These meeting rooms carry on the tradition of the Bank's commitment to community service by giving a place for community groups and organizations to use for their activities. This space will serve a dual function as training rooms for the Bank.
