he HE Computing Department

The HE Computing area is used for students that are only on the HE Computing course no other student from the college is allowed.

Many computers are available to use for students including high performance gaming computers that are suitable for students that are on the gaming or multimedia courses. One of the good points about the HE Computing area is that it is an open learning site like you will find in a library. The area is available when lectures are being taught so if you have a free session you can use any computer at the HE Computer area if it's available. A bad point of this area is that it can be distracting when students come in and out of lectures. I am a current student at Bradford College and I use the area many times it is easy to get to and very helpful with my studies. The HE computing area at Bradford College offers students many facilities to be used at any time including computers and printers to print out their work this helps big time when an important assignment deadline is due. I have spoken to some of its current users and they told me that it's a good facility for any student and that it will benefit them with their studies.

The meeting was held on Monday the 8th of December 2008, the following issues have been resolved! · Increased amount of storage capacity would be raised from 50mb to 100mb The Moodle website has been improved and a better version is in use, all students are advised to use this system, as it makes it very easy to obtain lecture notes, and is a great way to keep in touch with students on the same course Open workshop for everyone is on every Friday afternoon. The workshop area is an "open access" area for everyone on Friday afternoons, this means that you can drop in anytime during Friday afternoon and do your work! Students need to keep noise levels down in the open area! Students need to learn that they need to keep their voices down, not many people can do their work in a noisy atmosphere! The classes 10A & 10B often get really hot but this building will be going through reconstruction. The classrooms will be extended to accommodate the heat problem. Don't worry boys and girls, the staff are aware of this problem! Don't forget that they are in the room teaching and feel the heat just like you! The building will go through major refurbishment/reconstruction and this issue will be resolved!

It's hard to believe that, prior to Half-Life 2, Valve had really made only one game. Of course, it was a masterpiece. Half-Life single-handedly reinvented the first-person shooter, putting the emphasis on cinematic pacing and complete immersion in the experience. As a result, it paved the way for many of the outstanding first-person shooters that have followed. And while there was little question that there would eventually be a sequel, no one could have imagined the long and torturous development process that led to Half-Life 2. Well, it's time to forget about that, because Half-Life 2 has arrived. And, in many ways, this big-budget sequel does what it sets out to do: Half-Life 2 is a technically amazing, sharply honed first-person shooter that pulls all the tricks that made Half-Life such a beloved experience. With that said, many of those tricks feel more than a bit familiar now, and the game itself is saddled with a disappointing story. Still, that doesn't stop Half-Life 2 from being a very impressive and engaging shooter, and a faithful follow-up to one of the greatest PC games of all time.

In Half-Life 2, you once again assume the role of Gordon Freeman, the theoretical physicist and dimension-hopping commando who saved the world from an alien invasion at the end of Half-Life. Or did he? Half-Life 2 starts you off facing the infamous G-Man, the mysterious blue-suited character from the first game. At the end of Half-Life, the G-Man offered you a choice: work for him or die. Since there would be no sequel if you chose the latter, Half-Life 2 assumes you chose the former, and you start the game in a train entering City 17 for your introduction into this new world.
