01 SIGNUM THE CONCEPT

01 SIGNUM THE CONCEPT

Signum is a veneering system that is part of a modular system. All of its components are specifically adapted with each other. The unique possibilities with paste and flowable components give you complete creative freedom. This guide will take you through how to use Signum composite/matrix and Signum cre-active and assist you with helpful tips for your daily work. Create natural masterpieces and experience the light and aesthetic concept of Signum matrix. SIGNUM IS WHEN ONE THING PERFECTLY FITS ANOTHER. Regardless of how you like to work, the Signum range with its modular design will have a product to suit you.

For the love of perfection.

Signum cre-active

Stains for characterisation, e.g. for fissure contrast, white striation, and a whole lot more.

FLOWABLE OR PASTE -- the composite system designed for the way you like to work.

Create the tooth body with paste and complete the insical region with the flowable Signum matrix materials or simply combine to suit your needs.

Signum matrix

Flowable consistency for thin sections in the margin or incisal area with light optic properties.

Signum composite

Metal-supported

Signum ceramis

Metal-free

Signum accessories

Bonding agent for all materials, polishing and finishing tools, polishing pastes, insulation, light curing units etc.

Blast with 2 3 bar of Al2O3 (grit size of 110 m).

Pay attention when placing mechanical retention beads. (e. g. retention beads with a diameter of 0.4 mm), which are subsequently reduced to 0.2 mm. 1 2 x Signum metal bond II should then be applied and polymerisation carried out for 90 s with a light curing unit (e. g. HiLite power)

Eliminate dust and dry. Do not allow fingers to contaminate the prepared surface. Apply 1x Signum metal bond I. Wait for 10 seconds until the liquid has evaporated. 1 2 x Signum opaque F should be applied opaque and polymerisation performed for 90 s with HiLite power.

Why Signum matrix? -- Because it is simultaneously fluid yet stable perfect for delicate application at thin regions -- Controlled and efficient processing -- Light dynamics resemble those of natural teeth -- Smooth transitions possible, just like with ceramics

... Important! Look for thinly smooth out of the incisal paste! Then carry out final polymerisation with HiLite power for 180 s.

-- Identical concept to HeraCeram Matrix

Two Materials One Concept. Signum matrix and HeraCeram matrix enjoy a joint processing system. A sketch helps a similar layer build-up to be achieved with ceramics or composite material. The materials within the matrix system have the same designation with Signum as with HeraCeram.

Roughen the region to be corrected slightly with Diaface, remove dust and keep free of grease! polymerisation with the HiLite power for 180 s.

06 SURFACE FINISH WITH SIGNUM INSULATING GEL

To produce a dispersion layer: Apply Signum liquid and allow 30 s for a reaction. Do not lightcure!

Prepare the final shape with Magnum from the Signum Toolkit. Important! Create a dispersion layer if necessary by Signum liquid (See page 14) before the next step.

OT

The Signum matrix opal transparent materials OT give Signum matrix value 1 4 are highly fluorescent and opaque. They conceal the intersection of the framework and veneer. The materials are applied to the opaquer in a thin layer before the dentine layer is applied. OT1 High transparency, low opalescence. OT10 Low translucency but high opalescence. teeth a clear transparency, especially in the incisal region.

MD

OS

Signum matrix MD and SD materials have low transparency and can be used for e. g. margin area and mamelons, but also as opaque dentines. The opal incisals complete the incisal layering and are the flowable equivalent to the paste enamels with stunning opalescence.

CUSTOMISATION OF SIGNUM VENEERINGS With Signum stains, you can customise your veneer to match your patient's individual characteristics, e. g. enamel cracks, abrasion edges, white striations and much more besides. Signum cre-active can be used on its own or is quite easy to mix with Signum matrix. So all flowable materials from the Signum matrix set can be changed to any colour you like. Before application, a dispersion layer for attachment to the veneer must be provided. Otherwise prior conditioning must be carried out with Signum liquid. (See Chapter 5) Tip! All customisations with Signum cre-active become abrasion resistant by being mixed with Signum matrix (e. g. OT1) or subsequent overlayering.

CUSTOMISATION OF ARTIFICIAL TEETH Signum cre-active is also absolutely ideal for customising Artificial teeth: -- Slightly roughen the surface. -- Apply Signum connector, let it soak in for 2 min. and polymerise under light for 90 s using the HiLite Power. -- Apply the desired effect with Signum cre-active (e. g. maroon for fissures). Polymerise under light for 90 s. -- Thinly cover the region with Signum matrix transparent paste (e. g. OT1) and carry out final curing under light for 180 s (HiLite power).
