Dear HMSA Member: You have probably heard that Hawaii Medical Centers (HMC) East and West will be closing their doors and services will be transitioned to other available hospitals and providers. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure that you continue to receive uninterrupted quality health care. How will the closing impact members? Members who would normally receive services from an HMC hospital will need to talk to their physician about choosing another participating hospital. HMC will be working with current patients to transition their care. Where can West Oahu members get emergency care? The closest emergency room services in West Oahu are available at Pali Momi Medical Center at 98-1079 Moanalua Road in Aiea. Members who may need emergency services should use the closest emergency room or call 911.
