2 | Welcome to Holy Ghost Catholic Church · Omaha

Pastor's Corner

This weekend we welcome Fr. Bernard Olszewski from the Cross International community who will speak at all Masses. It'll certainly be an education for all as he shares his experiences from ministering to folks around the world. Having Fr. Bernard with us, helps us to appreciate the world-wide ministry of the Catholic Church, and our role in supporting our fellow Christians building the Kingdom here and now. Thanks to Pat and Mike Makara, the Women's Club and all parishioners who helped make the Turkey dinner a success. It seems folks are happy we've re-instituted this parish dinner as an annual mainstay for Holy Ghost. Thanks to all who stopped by to enjoy the dinner as well. Please continue to complete and submit your Archdiocesan stewardship forms as we keep moving closer to 100% response rate. Have a good week, Fr. Greg May the Lord grant peace and consolation to the families of: Joy (Flott) Benning (Mother of Angela Revia) Marie Bolubasz (Mother of Bohdan Bolubasz) And Rev. Floyd Wessling

ADVENT ANGEL

Next week St. Vincent de Paul will begin their Annual Advent Angels, sponsoring The Stephen Center and The Bethlehem House. When you are out shopping for those on your Christmas list (like on "Black Friday") remember The Stephen Center & The Bethlehem House.

Thank you to our Confirmation Candidates who helped at the Turkey Dinner. The time earned counts towards "Hospitality" and it was nice for our youth to see how much coordinated effort it takes to do a parish function of this magnitude. A reminder to our parents about our upcoming schedule: There will be NO classes on Wednesday, November 24th. Classes will be held on the following Wednesday, December 1st at our regular time. The next week, December 8th is a holy day of obligation, so everyone will be attending Mass that evening together. December 15th will be our last class time before the Christmas/Winter break, we will be off December 22nd and the 29th. A note was sent home this past week. Everyone is invited to attend Mass on Thanksgiving Day - 9:00 a.m. - what better way to celebrate when the very meaning of Eucharist is "thanksgiving"! From myself and all our staff - have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving! Ellie Morley, Director

Please pray for our loved ones who are currently serving our Country:

Sean Byers Gary Aulner Mike Pihlgren Daniel Homan Allen M. Novotny Joseph M. Vickers Tim Gouger Greg Graham Michael J. Baker Art Morley Nick Burton Kevin Kersey Bryan Mass Dane Flott Ty Campbell Timmy Riskowski Andrew Steffensmeier Nick Lokamas Denise Pohl Suzie Homan Stephen Gonifas Becky White

The staff and students at Holy Ghost would like to thank you and let you know how truly grateful we are for your support. Because of your generosity we are able to have a beautiful school and great place to learn. During the season of Thanksgiving we are reminded of what a special place Holy Ghost is and we would not have such a great place to be if it was not for your continued support. Thank You! Also, a Big thank you to the PTO! Through their hard work a dedication we had a great Holiday Boutique. Thanks also to everyone who attended you made our first Annual Holiday Boutique a huge success!!!!! For those who did not hear me speak at the Masses last weekend we have begun a new program to help defray tuition and book fees for students at Holy Ghost. The Adopt a Student program will help children who are unable to afford the cost of a Catholic Education. We don't ever want money to be the reason a child cannot attend Holy Ghost. There are brochures located in the back of the church or you may contact Mrs. Martin if you are interested in donating. All funds will go into the Riskowski Scholarship Fund and distributed to the most needy children in our school. Thank you for your consideration. We continue to collect Hy-Vee receipts, Box Tops for Education, Campbell Soup Labels and Our Family Products. Thanks so much to those of you who bring these items... every little bit helps. Blessings, Dana

roots. For 40 years, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development has provided funding for groups that make lasting change and lift us the poor in the United States. The Collection has helped secure funding for low-income day care centers, legal advocacy to enforce fair wages, programs that emphasize education, and affordable housing in low-income neighborhoods. We want to thank all of our sponsors on the back of the bulletin. Each week we will feature one particular sponsor. Our feature this week is FISHER FIXTURE COMPANY. Please show your support to them.
