EF2S-Flight Crew Standard Transition Course - (APT2)

Description

A320 Family

The Standard Transition Course known as Airbus Pilot Transition 2 (APT2) provides the specific training required to achieve the aircraft model type rating as well as first type rating (for A320 only). The Airbus philosophy of APT2 courses is based on the following principles: Systematic approach to instruction Learning by doing Training to proficiency Trainees must be commercial jet qualified and have obtained some experience in commercial jet operations. A First Type Rating trainee will follow the Standard Transition Course provided he has previously followed the Entry Level Training (ELT): MCC course + Jet Familiarization.

Note: APT2 is a natural evolution of APT, Airbus' innovative approach to type rating. APT2 is being progressively deployed in the Airbus and CAE training centres, giving customers greater opportunities to access to what has become the new standard in flight crew training.
