GENERAL TRAIL INFORMATION

Welcome to the Burma Road County Forest and All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Trails. The forest unit, comprising 1,480 acres, is principally managed to maintain and protect the integrity of its ecosystems while also producing wood products, wildlife and recreational opportunities. There are 11 miles of logging roads that are identified on the map as ATV trails. Please stay on these designated trails. Operating ATVs off designated trails is prohibited, and anyone violating County Forest ordinances will be prosecuted. Some trail sections may be temporarily closed due to wetness, construction, or logging. Please abide by the "Trail Closed" signs. Camping is allowed at the trailhead parking areas, and a free permit may be obtained from the Park, Recreation, and Forestry Department. Please respect your public land and the facilities. ATV trail riding is a privilege. All trail, boundary, and informational signs are posted for your convenience and safety. Also, please pick up litter. For additional information contact the Wausau/Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department at (715) 261-1550
