Demand Account Reclassification ­ Deposit reporting solution

Demand Account Reclassification enables banks to reduce the total amount of customer deposits the FDIC requires to be on reserve by reclassifying deposit account balances as money market or time account funds. Bank-defined parameters control minimum account balances or the minimum percentage for reclassification, and the required general ledger entries are automatically generated. Reducing the required reserve amounts generates additional income opportunities by making more funds available for lending and investment purposes.

Vertex Teller Capture images checks at the teller line, automatically posts transactions, and electronically processes items through the Check 21 network. Tellers use scanners connected to PC workstations to scan checks and deposit slips. Once the teller has accepted the imaged data, Vertex Teller Capture automatically populates the Vertex Teller Automation System with transaction information, reducing the potential for human error and the time customers must spend at the teller window. Vertex Teller Capture then logs the transaction and imaged data into the local workstation hard drive and an electronic file containing the transaction information is automatically sent to the bank's check image exchange server via FTP.
