It was compiled to serve as a resource to assist those in need of special assistance. In particular, it is designed to help reduce barriers faced by individuals trying to achieve self-sufficiency. Every possible effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information included in this Directory; however, the Chamber is not responsible for errors in content as all information has been submitted to the Chamber for inclusion. Community Prevention Programs Provides facilitator training for Kids Connection, Youth Connection and Faith-Based Connection. The training is provided to increase the number of volunteer facilitators and ensure services continue regardless of funding. The programs provide services to youth ages 5-18, who have a substance abuse family history or who live with other chronic stresses. It is designed to reduce the youth's risk of substance abuse by intervening in their social and personal development. Living skills and healthy alternatives are taught to replace the harmful behaviors that have been necessary for them to cope with their environment.
