FORM FOUR (CSEE) RESULTS 2010

Necta has released the form four 2010 results and girls have shown a great performance once again.See results in top bar menu on this site!

The bad news however is that the pass rates continue to drop and this year dropped by a significant 22% from last year underlying core education problems and challenges the education sector in Tanzania faces.

Mashule has data on this site that speaks volumes about falling education pass rates .-, this was the basis of my forming this site to create awareness and interpret some of the statistics out there.

For the ordinary parent these results bear bad news for regions especially :Dodoma ,Mtwara Lindi and to some extend tanga and morogoro.

These regions performed worst on the whole and are at the bottom 10 in performance this time.

Putting it bluntly if you have a child in form four in Dodoma, Mtwara or Lindi.....their pass rate at ordinary-level is likely to be bad!

Out of the total who sat for the exam 441,426 those who attained division1to division3 are only 40,338.officially this is 11% but our maths tells us it's 9.1% unless you add the 3.64%who didn't sit the exam to bring the figure to 12%!

Figures say that 136,633 scored division four ,officially -38% but knowing simple percentages 136,633 out of 441,426 gives us 30%.

Officially 174,193 candidates failed officially this is 49.60%: 174,193 out of 441,426 gives me 39.46%

Analyzing these figures am inclined to come up with a new percentage order as follows :

· 3.64% ..didn't sit for the exam so they aren't included in the total who sat (441,426) otherwise statistics are even more misrepresented!

· 9.1% passed -division 1-3

· 39.46 % got division 4

The ones who failed are the rest : 100-(9.1+39.46) which is a whooping 51.44%!

This means at O-level more than half failed ;were fail means not even getting division four!

This is serious food for thought and a lot of planning is needed of you as a parent.

Basic Education of our children is and shall always be a serious on going fight and facts and figures analysis and proper planning are needed on your part!

A Private centre ,Biafra examination centre has been cancelled for breaching examination procedures .

Private candidate pass rates have dipped slightly from 54% to 52% ** which is interesting to me since this figure is higher than the normal pass rate!

She named the best ten boys in the examinations as Johnston Dedani (Ilboru)

* Mashule:' on Checking Results for ILBORU CENTRE: P0110 : you may be surprised to find no division 1 or Division 2 and the name Johnston Dedani isnt there!'
