Protective Relay Application Training

This course is a combination of lecture, demo and hands-on exercises. Basic protection concepts and applications are presented. General Information Course Code: PRA 001 Length: 2 Day Audience · The training is intended for protective relay engineers, designers and technicians from electric utilities and the industrial section wishing to gain a basic knowledge of the planning, commissioning and maintenance of system protection equipment Prerequisites · Basic knowledge of electrical engineering Goals Upon completion of this course, the students shall be able to: · Understand the main protection principles of overcurrent, differential and distance protection. Is able to select the appropriate principle for a protection object based on security and reliability requirements and economical requirements.
