Prof. Dr. Selçuk NAS After successful completion of the course the students should gain knowledge and skills related to oil cargo operations and how to take precautions to prevent potential hazards during the operations. Course content, consists of the necessary knowledge and skills which are gained by the "marine transportation engineers" to respond the expectations of the international oil transportation. The course also aimed at eventually needed some sort of certification, is conducted in accordance to the requirements of regulation V/1-2 paragraph 2.2 and section A-V/1, paragraphs 9 to 14 of the STCW Code and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.02. Knowledge on "Oil Cargoes", "Oil Cargo Operations". Understanding on "Petroleum Potential Hazards", "Precautions" Skills on "Oil Cargo Calculations", "Longitudinal Stability" - Attending to the Course of "MTE 1018 Seamanship II" Standard Classroom Facilities, Flash Based Animation Programs, Presentations and practices, Load Master Program, LCH Simulator for demonstration, Densitometer. Latest versions of International Safety Guide for Oil Tankers and Terminals (ISGOTT), ASTM Tables. Safety in Oil Tankers (ICS). Tank Capacity Table of M/T Avor. Stability Booklet of M/T Avor. Engineering for the Deck Officer
