To ensure a successful installation, follow the flooring manufacturer's instructions and the guidelines below. Failure to follow any of these recommendations may result in an unsatisfactory installation.

SUBFLOOR PREPARATION: All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, oil, paint, old adhesive, wax, sealers and curing agents. Naturally Aged Flooring Urethane Wood Flooring Adhesive is suited for installation of wood flooring over all standard underlayments including plywood, OSB, terrazzo, level concrete (excluding lightweight concrete), and most clean and unwaxed vinyl. Subfloor/underlayment must be flat to 3/16" per 10' span. Any filler/leveling compound should have a high compressive strength. Concrete subfloors must have a density of 90 lbs./cu.ft. Wood flooring should not be installed directly over concrete slabs in high moisture or water table areas because of the wicking properties of concrete and the potential failure due to the movement of wood flooring that is exposed to water.

MOISTURE CONTENT LIMITATIONS: Below grade applications are subject to moisture and should be tested for moisture prior to installation. The limitations for below grade applications are; moisture contents measuring greater than 3 lbs./1000 sq.ft./24 hours on a Calcium Chloride Test or greater than a reading of 4.5 on a Tramex Concrete Moisture Encounter. FLASH TIME/OPEN TIME: It is recommended that the adhesive be allowed to flash for 30 minutes prior to installing the wood flooring. Open time is 2-3 hours depending on exposure to moisture. WET LAY METHOD: Once the adhesive has been troweled, the wood flooring may be installed immediately into the wet adhesive. To reduce slippage, secure the first two starter rows with finishing nails or sprig nails. Remaining planks must be placed firmly into adhesive. Planks which are not flat should be weighted for several hours. NOTE: Normally, ultimate strength will be reached in 24-48 hours. Wait at least 2 days before finishing an unfinished floor. Do not trowel more adhesive than can be covered within three hours. When using the Wet Lay Method, do not walk on the floor during the installation. INSTALLATION: Follow the flooring manufacturer's instructions. CLEAN UP: Wet adhesive cleans up with mineral spirits. NOTE: Cured adhesive is difficult or impossible to remove.

PROTECT FROM FREEZING. Adhesive will not freeze but for best performance, store Naturally Aged Flooring Urethane Wood Flooring Adhesive at or above 60°F, 24 hours prior to installation.
