Reverse Lay from Apparatus Equipped with an Elevated Master Stream Device Using One Engine and Supplying One Handline

This evolution uses one apparatus equipped with an elevated master stream, one engine, one large-diameter supply line, and one handline. The number of personnel used to accomplish this evolution should be based on each jurisdictions normal Engine Company and aerial apparatus response. (This evolution incorporates basic requirements to accomplish the assigned evolution. Local jurisdictions may add to these minimum requirements as necessary.) 1. Stage the engine and aerial apparatus away from the simulated fire area. Order the evolution to begin. Start the time when the aerial apparatus stops at the simulated fire area. Position apparatus and prepare elevated master stream for service. Lay a large diameter supply line from the aerial apparatus to the hydrant using the engine. Deploy a 200' handline from the engine. Connect the engine to the hydrant and charge both the supply line and the handline. Operate all lines at the proper pressures and flows including setting the pressure governor or relief valve. Time stops once the pressure governor or relief valve has been set.
