1990 Beaver Marquis

$39,000 Diesel Pusher 165,000 Miles Seven year ago, in 2005, we purchased a classic Beaver Marquis of the 1990 vintage with the Gillig Chassis (Million Mile Chassis) that was also used by Country Coach. The other comparable motor coach was the Foretravel. These three coaches were all extraordinary for the time. The original cost was $350,000+ in 1990. I purchased mine from a gentleman in Sacramento, California. While we have enjoyed it immensely, our business interests and personal commitments prevent us from full utilization of the coach. Therefore, we are going to sell the coach. It is presently stored in Siloam Springs, Arkansas All the solid oak cabinets, doors and trim are original. Sofa and matching kitchen chairs were redone in the early 2000's. The driver's seat and the passenger seats were replaced with new 2011 model Flex-Steel ULTRASUEDE...the most expensive option at $1,250 per seat. We replaced all the carpet and kitchen flooring with solid ¾ inch oak flooring throughout in 2011. Each piece is both glued and nailed. It is wonderful to not have carpet even under the driver and passenger seat. All the storage compartments have been redone as well. We invest approximately $2,000 to $2,500 each year in maintaining and upgrading the coach. The 3208T Caterpillar 300 horse diesel was overhauled at 109,000. The lower unit bearings for the pistons were all replaced. That is where the most wear happens. The rings were not replaced. However, the valves were adjusted as well. This should be repeated at 209,000 according to the CAT mechanics. It runs and runs and runs trouble free for seven years. We intended to repaint the bull nose ($1,000) but people advised us to leave it as is so that a new buyer can see the wear on the front. The remaining paint is in excellent shape as you can see from the pictures. The exception is two scrapes on the side of the coach. (ask for pictures) It has always been stored inside. I own a large pole barn in Michigan where I store it in the summer. Each winter it has been at Balboa Storage in Hot Springs, Arkansas. All the oiled oak interior is without blemish and the Corian counter tops are immaculate. It runs well and gets 8 to 10 miles per gallon at 60 mph. It had new tires 2008-09 at 152,000 miles. New rims were installed in 2005. I replaced one rear air bag in 2011. The air compressor and storage system has Gillig Chassis

been checked and sealed. I have rebuilt the air automotive conditioning. It has a new igniter for the hot water tank and new control panel for the refrigerator. It has a new microwave. We installed a new furnace in 2011. We installed new LCD TV's in both the front and bedroom. It has new V belts and been serviced regularly. Everything else is original. We are asking $39,000 or OBO. On the way down from Michigan in 2006, the oil filter housing developed a small leak. All parts ($670) have been acquired by the Riggs Cat Dealer in Little Rock. We could not get an appointment while we are in HSV. We have scheduled a March 19, 2007 to install the unit at my cost.
