Inspiration and Endurance As Arabian Horse lovers, when we turn our eyes to the World Equestrian Games, our attention focuses on the one event that Arabians and HalfArabians really excel at... Endurance. One team hopeful is Jan Worthington and her 10 year old grey Gelding, Leon, from Galena, IL. What inspires me the most about this team is that Jan turned 70 on July 4th and maintains her fitness by caring for 45 horses and riding three horses a day.

AHA News

As of June 30th, registrations of purebred Arabians are at 95 percent of last year and Half-Arabians are at 105 percent. As with virtually all the breed associations, AHA memberships continue to decline.

Keep in mind that these beautiful animals are not machines and a fast move up in levels can easily hinder their athletic ability and work ethic. Riders and their horses must be safe, smart and have fun. - Elizabeth Kantra

What to do in September...

Here are some final opportunities to show your horse locally before hanging up your show bridle and hitting the trails on those cool, bug-free autumn days! Hook up your trailer one last time and show those open show judges what you and your horse can do! Don't you need just one more ribbon to hang up before the leaves fall, the snow flies, and you need six layers just to make to the barn? Go for it!
