The Bennettsville site is a campus style facility encompassing several hundred acres of land. There are 3 multiple level housing facilities and over 14 administrative and maintenance buildings requiring security. The Federal Prison Camp located in Bennettsville, South Carolina was a design/build project between the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and Norment Security Group, Inc. Norment provided and installed detention equipment and security electronics systems. Norment's scope of work included furnishing and installing all security hollow metal, security doors and frames, standard hollow metal, security and non-security hardware, security and non-security glass and glazing and all security mesh. Security doors included 1542 swing doors and the associated security locking hardware. Norment provided the fully integrated security electronics system for all the buildings on the campus site. Some of the integrated systems included Dedicated Paging and Intercom Systems; over 17 OMRON (CV Series) PLC Systems; CCTV Matrix Systems utilizing fiber connectivity; Access Control Systems; Inmate Duress Systems; Perimeter Security Systems; and 21 Graphic Control Panels. Communications between logic controllers was accomplished via Ethernet Lan Network, utilizing non-proprietary protocols.
