Introduction

Men of the early twenty-first century are faced with an identity crisis imposed upon them by the world. Everyone, it seems, has an idea of what a man should be. Even within the evangelical wing of the church, numerous ideas about masculinity abound. What is a Christian man to do? The answer, as in all questions of life, is to turn to the Scriptures for guidance. Here we find clear instruction for what a man should be in all the spheres of his life--his family, his work, his worship, and more. During the 2008 Cherokee PCA Men's Conference, Rev. Richard D. Phillips, senior minister of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, S.C., will open the Scriptures in order to help us know how to live biblically as men. This outstanding conference will be hosted by the men of Cherokee Presbyterian Church and by Stonewall Ministries. All men, both fathers and sons, are welcome to attend. Dinner will be provided each night and breakfast on Saturday morning.
