Svenborg Brakes has transformed traditional brakes into intelligent braking systems with soft- and controlled braking, featuring advanced electronics and hydraulics.

Hydraulic yaw brakes

Svenborg Brakes has extensive experience and powerful products. With our range ­ from the BSAB 75 to the BSAB 120 ­ we can provide a clamping force from 140,000 N to 540,000 N. Combined with our speciallly-developed yaw hydraulics, the result is a strong and flexible system.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Svenborg Brakes manufactures both hydraulicallyapplied and fail-to-safe spring-applied brake callipers ranging from 1000 N to 500,000 N braking force. The entire range is available in "Monospring" versions (floating on 2 slide bars). Our spring-applied fail-to-safe brakes are available with Automatic pad Wear Adjustment AWA as an option.

Hydraulic power packs

Svenborg Brakes designs and maufactures hydraulic power packs to operate brake callipers, lock pins and other hydraulic equipment. Power packs are assembled and tested at our factory and can be supplied with a large number of different options ­ which means we can help customdesign your system.

Advanced rotor lock system

The unique hydraulically-operated pin bolt from Svendborg Brakes sets new standards. The Svendborg Brakes ROLO® roto lock system is easy to move, feed-in and integrate in turbine design. In combination with our electronics, brakes and hydraulics it is now even possible to lock the turbine mechanically via remote control. This means big advantages in reduced service time and costs, as well as increased safety for off-shore turbines.

Intelligent brake control and monitoring system

Svendborg Brakes introduced the SOBO (SOft Braking Option) in 1998. For the first time in brake history, a separate programmable brake controller was available. The SOBO controller automatically adjusts braking force to actual need and gives the operator full control over the braking sequence, regardless of load on the drive unit. The smart way to save money, due to longer component lifetime and less maintenance time!
