Mission

The Oklahoma Caring Foundation supports programs that provide Oklahomans access to preventive health services.

A new website launched in 2010, located at oklahomacaringfoundation.org. Thanks to you, the Oklahoma Caring Foundation continued to meet the needs of many underserved Oklahomans again in 2010. From a new van in Oklahoma City to a new website online, the organization grew in accessibility and impact. The Oklahoma Caring Vans traveled a combined total of nearly 38,000 miles in 2010, conveniently meeting families in their own communities at no cost. As a non-profit organization, our impact is all due to our donors. You hold the key to our future, to keep our vans moving across the state. Emmitt Smith delivered the keynote address at the 2010 Champions of Health awards ceremony in Oklahoma City. Smith, a former Dallas Cowboy and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, also auctioned off an autographed jersey to Chip Lott (pictured above). With nearly 450 individuals in attendance, a record $65,205 was raised through event sponsorships and auctions.

A new and improved Caring Van was revealed to the Oklahoma City community in April. More than 3,800 immunizations were administered aboard the new van by the end of 2010.
