The Osteotech, Inc. logo as shown (left) is to be used to represent Osteotech, Inc.. It is a registered trademark. The preferred color of the logo as depicted by the industry standard Pantone Matching System is PMS 540 or CMYK equivalent, but it can also be reproduced in black, as a knockout or or silver when necessary. No other colors are acceptable for this mark.

The Osteotech, Inc. logo is comprised of two major components. These components are, first (1) the circle, (known as the "bug") representing a stylized view of the "O" "T" and "I" overlayed and knocked out of a darker circle; the second (2) is the wordmark "Osteotech Inc."and contains the "®" registered trademark symbol.

In no case is the wordmark "Osteotech" to appear without the circular mark or "bug" to the left of it.

PANTONE® PMS 540 Black

The "bug" element in any other placement with respect to the word mark "Osteotech" is not acceptable. No other uses of this element are acceptable.

The "bug" may only appear on it's own as a decorative element when also accompanied by a full logo somewhere on the final piece. It is also acceptable to use this element as a color coding/differentiation on the packaging label. This usage is often found on packaging for our Graftech® Structural Allografts.

Advancing OsteoBiologic SciencesTM

The Company has adopted a tagline: "Advancing OsteoBiologic SciencesTM" to communicate is dedication to innovation, education, and maximizing the gift of life.

Examples of Color Coding

There is no associated artwork or logo for this tagline at this time. However, it is trademarked and should always be represented as such. Items containing the tagline "Innovators in Musculoskeletal Science" should be retired upon reorder and replaced with the new tagline as mentioned above.

The Logo of OST Developpément shown (left) is to be used to represent the French subsidiary and it's activities. The preferred colors of the logo as depicted by the industry standard Pantone Matching System are PMS Reflex Blue or CMYK equivalent and black, but it can be reproduced as a single color of PMS Reflex Blue, black, as a knockout or in silver when needed. The OST Developpément logo is comprised of three major components. The first (1) is a series of 19 dotted lines that are flush left and conform to the shape of the "O" on the right. The second (2) component is the letters "OST" with the trademark symbol. The trademark symbol should align with the bottom edge of the "T" and should always be the same color as the letters it follows. The third element to the logo (3) is the word "Developpément" followed by the phrase, "An Osteotech Company"

Osteotech's leading brand, Grafton® DBM is a registered trademark and should always, in either logo or text form, be identified as such. The word "Grafton" in addition to the registered symbol "®" must also be accompanied by a modifier such as "DBM" or the elongated version, "Demineralized Bone Matrix". The Grafton® DBM logo is shown on the left. The appropriate color for this logo is PMS 294 or CMYK equivalent, but it may also appear as black, as a knockout or in metallic silver with and without the lower bar filled solid or as a gradient. No other colors are acceptable for this logo.

Grafton Plus® DBM Products are registered with the Food and Drug Administration as devices. As such, all references to the brand must include the distinction "Rx Only" in plain text or image format. This information must only appear once in cases of printed literature, but must appear on each page of electronic presentations such as MicroSoft PowerPoint presentations and web materials. The preferred image format is represented to the left and may appear in any appropriate color. Examples include but are not limited to: black, white, PMS 540, PMS 294 and PMS 280 or their respective CMYK equivalents.

Clinically Proven

Grafton® DBM Products have been proven to grow bone in a clinical setting. To highlight this distinction, the logo featured to the left was created. This logo is a 1 color logo created in PMS 294 or CMYK equivalent if need be and carries a trademark. It is not acceptable to reproduce this mark in any other color combination including black and white. The Clinically Proven Logo is made up of 2 major components. The first (1) is the blue oval which carries the text "Clinically Proven Bone Formation". The second component (2) is the caduceus followed by the "TM". This logo may be used in concert with any of the approved Grafton® DBM logos or supporting marks noted in this guide. Common uses of this logo include current packaging and advertising campaigns.

Osteotech On Target is a communications tool used to convey information to our sales force. The logo as seen here is color coded to identify the particular area of interest or topic covered in any particular issue. This logo is a 4 color process logo. Unlike the other Osteotech logos, the On target logo does not have a grayscale or knockout option. Though 5 color-coded logos are represented here, new colors to represent the changing market may be added as needed and should follow the coloration breakdown as represented by the 5 existing logos.
