Cultivars Developed Released improved high yielding rice varieties (Khumal 4 and Khumal 6) and breeding lines NR 10213, NR 10274, NR 10276 and NR 10285 for middle elevation Himalayan foot hills. Significant contributor towards development of RADHA 4 as a high yielding rice variety for a river basin environment. Developed and implemented a new concept of developing rice varieties for high elevation areas of Nepal by crossing subsp. japonica × japonica, as opposed to traditional subsp. indica × japonica crossing scheme.
