Learn to Play the Arsenal Way

At Arsenal Football Club we pride ourselves on playing as a team to produce imaginative, entertaining and skilful football. We take time to develop and nurture our younger players to ensure that they reach their full potential. By guiding players through our extensive training programmes, we have produced many world-class players over the years. The training programmes in our Arsenal Soccer Schools have been developed based on the same principles we teach at the Arsenal training ground; developing young players' technical skills and passion for the game to ensure they become the best players and athletes they possibly can. Our residential programmes have been running for 19 years and have given many boys and girls the opportunity, whatever their football ability, to live, learn and experience football coaching the Arsenal Way.

Learn

The programme sessions consist of technical and tactical player development, nutritional advice to increase fitness levels and small sided matches in high intensity tournaments to improve passing, speed of movement, technique and game understanding. To ensure that every child who attends progresses during their time on the programme the coaches will spend an initial period assessing and evaluating their performance to ensure that they are grouped with children of a similar level and age. The coaches then work with each group and child to improve skill levels. Our aim is that all children leave the programme with greater knowledge of the game and technical skills.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive booking confirmation? The easiest way to book is online. On completing all details you will receive an automatic email confirmation. Bookings received via the post will also receive an email confirmation, if you do not have an email address your confirmation will be advised by post. Approximately four weeks prior to the programme commencing you will receive further details on the location, what to bring and emergency contact information. My child is attending on his/her own; will he/she be ok? Yes, the majority of youngsters attend without friends or family. Individuals will be placed in groups with players of the same age. All rooms are double occupancy and we endeavour to ensure all children are in shared rooms. The first session of every course is focused on making new friends. These "ice-breaker" sessions are designed to help all individual players integrate to form a team.

My child is attending with a sibling or a friend, can they share a room? Roommate requests should be submitted when completing the `Supplementary Information' form online or on the booking form. We will try to accommodate these requests where possible. All requests must be made in advance of the programme, we will be unable to accommodate any requests on the day of arrival. Will there be any medical support on site? At each programme there is a qualified nurse on site at all times. The medical information that you provide about your child during the registration process will be kept on hand and referred to if necessary. What qualifications and checks do your coaches and staff have? All coaches are UEFA/FA qualified and have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. Arsenal Football Club is committed to the safety and welfare of all children attending our courses and has a Child Protection Policy and comprehensive training in place. Will my child get spotted by Arsenal Football Club and become an Arsenal player? The main focus on every Arsenal Soccer Schools course is that all children will be given an insight into how to play the Arsenal way and achieve success regardless of ability. Arsenal Soccer Schools programmes are not designed as a means to scout players; however, our aim is that each child will leave the course knowing how to become a better player.

Will my child's performance on the pitch be improved? It is our aim for every child to gain success at their individual level and develop new skills on the programme. Our coaching team is specifically trained to pass on how Arsenal Football Club train their young players to become the best players they can. What are the chances of meeting a player? It is very unlikely that the players will be able to attend courses due to their busy training and match schedule. Who should I contact if I have any questions? Should you have any questions please email [email protected] or call +44 (0) 20 7619 5000.
