Certified Nursing Assistant

QHO's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is approved by the WI Department of Health and Family Services as meeting all the State and Federal requirements of Nursing Assistant training. Learn fundamental nursing skills in the classroom through lecture, videos, and hands-on demonstration. Practice your skills and get experience providing cares for residents in local long-term care facilities.

Flexible Schedules....

Day Program

Classes meets for twelve consecutive days Monday--Friday from 8:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m.

Additional Training Offered

CBRF and Assisted Living

WI State approved program that provides the classroom training necessary for CBRF Aides to perform activities of daily living and personal cares in a CBRF/Assisted living Facility. All Blocks and Modules are available together or separately.

Evening Program

Classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 p.m.--7:30 p.m.

Weekend Program

Classes meet Fridays from 4:30 p.m.--8:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m.--3:30 p.m.

CPR Certification and In-Services

Healthcare Provider BLS for adult, child and

QHO's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training is for you!

All training classes include three days of clinical training at a local Long-Term Care facilities. Evening and Weekend training clinicals are held on a weekend (Friday--Sunday) during daytime hours for 8-hour shifts QHO is an in-facility test site for the NNAAP Competency Exam. The exam is scheduled by QHO and is held approximately two weeks after completion of the training


Heart saver CPR and AED Blood pressure training and other in--services


Six-hour class using the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services training guide, ideal for caregivers working in LTCF or Home Healthcare. Provides information on causes, communication, adapting to disruptive behavior and preventing caregiver burnout to prepare for the complexities of Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.

QHO's CNA Program Prerequisites:

Able to read and understand written documents and calculate math (pre-screen exam required to determine eligibility) Able to pass a physical stating you are free of communicable disease, able to lift at least 30 lbs. and can perform the duties of a CNA Must provide negative TB test results or a clear chest x-ray Free of criminal convictions directly related to another person. At least 16 years of age

5-Day CNA Refresher Course

QHO's intensive skills review and workshop designed for Nursing Assistants who have been previously listed on the State Registry, but the certification has lapsed To qualify for the Refresher training the certification must have been expired for no more than three years
